I really hope he is not confirmed by the Senate.

He added that lawmakers and leaders in government needed to foster “knowledge that this drug is dangerous, you cannot play with it, it is not funny, it’s not something to laugh about . . . and to send that message with clarity that good people don’t smoke marijuana.”

Sessions’s anti-pot positions have been consistent throughout his career. As far back as 1986, he joked that he thought the Ku Klux Klan “was okay until I found out they smoked pot,” according to the New York Times.

Thing is, you can play with it and those who do, find it funny and laugh about it, and everything else. Next he'll say you can't eat after smoking it.

Trump is in charge of all these appointees. Not seeing him go after pot at all. Not that he will advance freedom for pot, just not go after it. While anti drug, Trump is not a moralist or fundamentalist religion type. I know they backed him.

He ran casinos, talks dirty, multiple wives, plows other guys wives etc. He will go after drug importation and pills. I am gonna germ some seeds tonight and have no worries. Life is good.

What will happen as more states and countries vote on legalizing recreational and medical laws? If a majority of states allow recreational and beyond, just think about how the government has to react. If the federal level wants to go after what the states are saying is legal they lose all the support of the states, they cannot stop the flow now the dam has a leak and it will blow before too long, we just need more states to put things on the ballot and start passing them.

I know, Jeff sessions is a throwback to the Nixon Era to all u younguns out there Nixon is the One that started ' The War On Drugs" started the DEA, before that it was Anslingers Bureau of Narcotics which was nothing more than a gestapo .
Sessions is a backward thinking Racist. This is going to come down to State vs. Federal powers. Trump may walk lightly and avoid this whole thing. He needs to keep a leash on this inbred redneck.

I honestly don’t think Trump will be one to micromanage. Meaning Sessions will be free to enforce Federal law. Which is what I think will happen.

I was wrong thinking Trump would never win, hopefully I'm wrong about this too.

I think anyone that is out in the open with legitimate ops should.be concerned. This guy is going to enforce federal law. Prop 64 is the least of our worries.

I don't think Trump is going to be pushing the anti pot agenda, besides Hillary was no friend to the pot head, her Corporate controllers would never allow that. I hope Trump stays hands off .we have enough real problems in this country.

The anti-marijuana stance is becoming less and less popular. What does he have to gain? His comments on marijuana weren't all that out-of-place at the time. Until recently, anti-marijuana WAS the popular opinion.

Ignorance is bliss....and goes in hand with the bigotry you display. It is obvious you have no clue what you are saying..just drinking the Kool Aid.

I care more about the corrupt DOJ/FBI over rec MJ laws...I care more about sanctuary cities harboring illegal aliens over rec MJ...I care more about going after those who are to big to jail (H) over rec MJ.

There is no way Trump is going to go after medical MJ. It would be political suicide.

Sessions is a great pick for America. I do care about MJ legalization but it is down on the list.

I seen an interview of Trump and he was asked about the legalization of Cannabis and he replied that he thought that should be left up to the states themselves

This is not the forum for you to tell us what is important to you if it is not cannabis related, please stay on point so they don''t shut this thread down...

There has been alot of over reaction to Trump being elected in general and alot of over reaction to his appointees thus far. He has clearly stated his position several times through the election process. He will be held to his promises made maybe more so than anyone else to date. His priorities lie with immigration/border security/heroin and meth importation and corruption not MJ. Federal over reach into states affairs is not what has been preached and doesn't jive with the new Republican party. There are too many financial problems facing this country for trump to turn away all those tax dollars and new businesses. If there is anything to worry about its trump normalizing the banking industry with MJ and over taxation.

There is always fear in transition of power because no one really knows for sure what the future holds... so buy and make seed to spread everywhere, over grow them :peacock:
