Stem Borer help ?

I have a Sunset Sherbert with a borer hole only 4 inches from the base of the stem .. Is the best option to spray BT into a hole above the borer entrance ??

I was able to spray some 91% iso alcohol into the hole, this frustrated the little bugger and made him come to the surface where i manually removed him.
