Stopped by the plot tonight to see if I could finish sexing them and great news, the remainders were all females! 5 out of 7, no complaints there! 
The plants were given a watering with added blossom booster and a light top dressing of 12-12-12 fertilizer. I noticed that only 1 out of the 4 Orange Groves displayed the strong orange peel odor. One was a mix of that and the classic Afghan bud dank smell. The other two have almost no odor at all. A slight cellulose/chlorophyll smell, but not much there.
I also snatched some fan leaves to press. I noticed a few Botrytis spots and what looks like a few spots of powdery mildew on the leaves once I got home. Never seen PM before, but get Botrytis every year. Being an Indica head comes at a cost...
I personally think that something in the plants genome is responsible for mildew/mold resistance and it's not as related to bud density as people make it out to be. The Botrytis is systemic and affects the whole plant, not just in the buds like a localized infection would. Not to mention it shows up before there are even any buds at all. Many Sativa or Sativa hybrids have huge buds but don't have mold problems like Indicas. My guess would be that the plants that evolved and were domesticated in Afghanistan and other central Asian countries didn't encounter mold spores because of the dryness of the region, thus never developed mold resistance.

Been enjoying the Thread JST. Thanks for taking us on the journey. But im right there with you on genetics being a big part of mold issues and not as straight forward as dense buds mold more. I have a heavy swiss indica that is very mold resistant but chunky and dense. And MLI has some super resistant phenos even though its provenance is pretty dry.

It's a colloidal silver generator. When applied to female plants colloidal silver forces them to hermi and produce pollen that when applied to other females will result in all the seeds being female. Should cut the workload and cost in half next year since I won't have to plant extra then weed out the males.

Been doing nightly sprayings to the girl in the first picture. No signs of sacks yet. I plan to self pollinate that one and apply pollen to the lower branches of the others.

Bout time for a plant update! So far everything is coming along well and the girls, for the most part, are stacking on the buds. The exception would be the Northern lights which isn't really doing a whole lot other than stretching...
The Nl's I've grown before are very similar in growth, structure, potency, and type of high/stone. Where they differ is yield... Last season my best yielder was an 11 foot Nl, but also my poorest yielders were Nl's. I guess this one is isn't going to kick out a lot... Might end up going later into flower too. So far it has that typical piney Nl smell...

This is the big Orange Grove girl, and the best smelling. It smells just like a bag of skittles! The leaves are slightly thinner than the others and it has a tad bit more stretch. Might take after the Hindu Kush a little more than the LVPK side. Never have smelled such a vibrant bouquet of fruit in an MJ plant before.

Last but not least is the plant I'm trying to reverse. Takes on the LVPK structure and growth habit but has little smell, almost like a starchy scent you would find in a sliced potato. I've been spraying this one pretty much every night with colloidal silver for the past 2 weeks. No sign of pollen sacks yet, but I'll have to make a day trip to get a better look.
