I think this setup definately earns the top spot on micro grows, by far.
the Rubbermaids are awesome but they always gotta be a second to this one.
i'm currently looking at cool tube possibilities for my rubbermaid, i wanna stuff my 150whps in there and see what i can get.

thought id better stop by and pay some respect and everything, i didnt realise how similar your space is to mine, almost same size, just mine is taller.
few question, did you build your reflector yourself? how thick is your REGULAR glass? and how does the air get into the reflector to cool the lamp, holes in glass or open ended?
also, how far is your screen to the reflector? and its completely fixed, correct?
noticed how little you veg your cuts before flowering and how much they fill up the screen in such little time. ive vegged mine for 4 weeks as you know.... as i said im gonna have one HELLUVA squeeze

Mtjohn,the best part about growin is sharing,,,I've mannaged to help 1 friend start growing(he has plenty of space).

being able to share is a fine thing indeed my bro

the glass is regular 1/8th" ..not tempered or anything
..the screen is fixed to my dwc tub and the light is adjustable
on avg. i guess the light is 10" from the screen(estimate)

ah i didnt notice the light being adjustable.
so you have your screen fixed and after the initial stretch the light stays about 10" above the screen. im guessing i could get it lower as im growing indica and the colas wouldnt be as tall as yours.
i saw u had a pc fan at over 100CFM.... that is impressive. mine is only 45CFM but is only 16dB.

your colas can be as tall as you want them to be...
i have found that there is a "sweet spot" ...a perfect height for the buds to be
if the growth is kept too tight to the screen...yeild will suffer
if the growth is to tall..light will not penetrate as deep and yeilds will suffer
somewhere between the two is the sweet spot...it's a learning process
also keeping the growth on a level plane ...across the screen... an even canopy will maximize your lights efficiency

kinda looks like mold..but it's not...just the way the light caught the trich's

Got me drawing up some plans for a box with a 32" X 32" screen for my 400w lamp. That works out too 56.25w sqf. Do we think thats too big, should I go with 30" X 30" for the extra 7.75w sqf? Yield with either would work, I'm more looking at box cooling, bud tightness issues. Footprint don't matter I have a 14' X 14' room for the box to sit in. The wife likes the idea of getting a closet back.
hey jackson...if it was me , i would go with the lager size
and as far as cooling i would think you'd have to use an inline centrifugal fan..like a vortex (check out mdhydro.com for good prices)and a cooltube /aircooled reflector
with bigger lights like yours and a scrog setup i have heard of yeilds up to 2.6-3oz psf.....so i dont think you'll have to worry bout bud density...just have to worry bout what your gonna do with all that weed
