Hey ICmag - I wanted to get ONE single thread for all the different people that might happen to be growing hybrids that were made by Phillthy.

I know over the last few years, he has made MANY donations to the ICmag Server Fund and contributed seeds to be given away at Seed Boutique as "freebies" with orders...

While I know many of you like to view his over 100 page sticky for a steady supply of bud porn and a constant look at the latest and the greatest...

You probably don't realize how much pollen this dude has tossed around for all of us here at ICmag over the last few years...

So with that in mind, if you have grown, are growing, or will be growing in the near future, ANY seeds made by Phillthy or and resulting crosses you have made in your own garden based on work he has shared...

Let us post them all here - so he can get a look at the impact he has made over the years!!! :thank you:

ps - this thread was inspired by another member asking us to rank ICmag's top 25 growers. While I can't rank them in such a manner...I can think of many who have inspired me by their dedication to the plant...this thread stems from such a construct, and I hope other will follow suit with those individuals who have made an impression on them as well....

Grom Bx2

A bit of background - not too sure what Grom is, other than Grape Romulan. I believe it was found by Greyskull. I first saw Zoolander posting on her and a couple of outcrosses back in '09-'10. I know that Retardo Motabon got fingers on her and and made Grom x Grape Krush. That is the basis for the work Phillthy continued...he used a very Grom dominant male from Retardo's Grom x Grape Krush and made the Bx1. From then he proceeded to select another male from his own Bx1 line to make the Bx2...

(if you don't pay attention to the Seedbay Server Fund...I don't know what's wrong with you)

Bench_Warmer - I tell ya...that Grom Bx1 was some potent smoke. It was really strong head...and really strong body. Kinda confusingly potent...disorienting in a larger session...

I LOVED IT!

Would love to see some pictures of what you have going!

You & Phillthy's pics and descriptions re. Grom BX1's have me prepped to be knocked down when they're done. The BX2 will no doubt have added steel-toes to the boot at the back of my skull. LOL!

Here are some unimpressive pics of the Groms, Venus, and Bluetooth. I used some cheap coir early on and all my plants are just barely recovering from the high salt contained in it. Flushed hard and they've lost the crispy leaves and are getting closer to normal health.. Thankfully!

The first Grom Bx looks like a good blend for sure - I bet that one smoke really well!

That Venus looks really nice... I'd go ahead and top that lady and let the lower branches catch up... she seems to have more Tooth to her. Bet her buds want to make a "flat top" and the end of each nug. Not sure how to describe it differently, but I had a couple look like this. Good yield and a sweet candy flavor - but wasn't TOO defined of either strawberry or grapefruit -just sweet / sugary / candy - which would be from the Swt still, but once again, she seems to have a bit more tooth in her.

That Bluetooth has her moms curse of ZERO side branching. But, I tell ya, it will make a MEAN single cola / SOG plant. The buds will form thick right up the main stalk for certain. Pull off that bottom larf on that lady - to where the bend is....looks like you topped once and took one side as clone already, maybe??

I think I was fortunate enough to stumble my way into a few Luci OG F2's as well ... only so much room in one cab though! Can't comment on those at all as I've no experience with those...YET!

Cheers for the info d.F. I haven't topped/cloned anything yet. That bend in the Bluetooth male is the point where I supercropped/pinched him (pre-sexed), in hopes of getting those lower bits to catch up so I can take cuts.

Now that he's exposed his balls, I will trim him right down soon for future pollen collection. :)

Phillthy very occasionally sends in packs of seeds for the server fund and a lucky few scoop them in a blink of an eye or via auctions.

As far as I know, he hasn't sent anything in to SB recently, but I could be wrong.
