VIPARSPECTRA or MarsHydro

Deepdown

VIPARSPECTRA Reflector-Series 600W LED

Or

MarsHydro Mars 600 LED

Anyone with experience with either. Loudness of fans is going to be an issue as I am on a stealth grow.

Also general performance. Open to other suggestions though.

Thanks in advance Dd

Can't say anything about "Vipar", as I hear that brand name for the first time, but the MArs Hydro 600w reflector unit is a solid grow light. You can def. hear the fans though... Not really noisy, but not stealth either...

just order '2' of the 300's 'vipar' this morn... I have no idea which is a better product... but 3year vs 1year warranty was the deciding factor for me...

Here's a side by side look.

The Mars seems to be a more red/blue only spectrum, while the VS includes IR and UV and more orange light for a more white color.

I also like that the VS has a big power switch on the light, and the ability to be daisy chained to each other.

Plus, its blaaaack :)

BTW that is not a Mars Hydro Reflector unit...

hey... no budget to speak of... I'm just playin around with a 4x4ft tent and a 8bulb 4ft fluor fixture... will change over to the led's when they arrive, and maybe hang the fluor fixture down the side of the tent... tho maybe that will be tooo much lite

i have a Viparspectra 450 and a 1200 and i also have a mars hydro epistar 320. not sure how the mars hydro version of the 1200 would compare, but they look very similar. for some reason, i ended up going with the viparspectra over the mars hydro when i originally got the 450. (that was my first LED light ever) i think you'll be fine either way honestly.

this mars hydro epistar 320 is fuckin awesome. super bright. it puts off more heat than the viparspectra 1200 but it's a couple hundred more watts, so it makes sense. it's my first time using this mars hydro light, and in an hour i start day 1 of flower. can't wait to see what it can do. i'll post a journal in case anyone is interested

i think my next light will be a heliospectra E60. i've seen those lights grow MASSIVE trees with amazing quality flower at my old job.

Vipar spectra is the brand to go with if you're somewhat on a tight budget and you can't go wrong with their quality for the price. Post updates on how the light ends up working for you.

All lights by ViparSpectra I see look soooo old design/components.
I would never get one.

why is it an old design/components????... the reviews on amazon/elsewhere seems to be good, I understand its a cheap light, but with a 3year warr, seems to be a pretty good hit..

do u have any suggestions for a similar light?? I will need '2' more for another tent...if there is something better I'm all for it...

Well, reviewers are usually not technical people and don't have proper insight in components and so on.
I believe cobs are way better, so maybe check in that direction. There are quite some people making kits and assembled lights with highest quality components. But don't expect to spend only a couple hundreds, you'll need more.

Give us more info on your needs and budget so you can get proper advice.
