This is a little pricey compared to heating up two bricks in an oven for half an hour and then stacking them with the herb in-between and standing on top of the bricks for a minute, but its not unreasonably expensive.

Sure, but I think you can only press a gram or two at a time unless you're a sumo wrestler, I think the pressure would probably get spread out too much otherwise. I only tried it once just to see if it would work.
