Start at page 1 and watch the video.

Hopefully you will participate. The idea here is to learn from each other.

Lurk away!

I haven't run your numbers yet, but you can one big problem right here in the metals.

I see your sodium is a bit high. Not much, but it is so close to your K levels in terms of your base distribution calculation, that your plants are picking up Na for sure. Any heat and they won't like it...

And your overall K levels look low.

Growing,

I can see why you are saying growing crazy.

K%---Mg% ----Ca %----Na %
2.2% --19.8%--73.1%--4.9%
2.5% --17.7%--76.8%--3.0%

Had a funny feeling that you would have more Na than K when I ran the real numbers.... not good. You had weak growth for sure, you were correct, you never got your K even close. On a light mix I want to start at least with 3 to 4% K and finishing up at 7 or 8%.

Funny story...I have been running M3 Na numbers in my spread sheet... excellent.

Thank you.

You are welcome!

I use which ever sodium is higher to make my calculations.

I always use the M3 K and Mg.

Always use AA@8.2 Ca.

And given you have some acidity, your Ca% is lower than we think.

I pulled this from your quote specifically.

The room this bed is in has been 84-86 and I haven't been able to figure out small odd leaf issues. I just knocked temps down to 76-77 a week ago to see if it helped... Never guessed Na from my numbers.

That extra 260 ppm of sodium will get you.

You can easily power past it by adding K! It is not that big a deal. It is not that Na is high. The problem is you have low K. I have 400 and 500 ppm of Na, doesn't bother me. Why? Cause it is less than 2% of my bases. Lots of folks call me Mr. Calcium hahaha, it isn't that I have a love affair with Ca. The issue is this works! As you have seen.

You can aim for 3.5% K to start and push to 6-8%. Just make sure you are always dominating Na.

This also shows the reason what the base distributions aren't negotiable. If you leave space by not having high enough Ca, lots of things can get out of whack fast!

Given you have been making real progress, would you mind telling us all how things have been going? Yield? Quality?
