We will not be remembered well nor kindly.
Ours will go down in history as the most gullible generation that ever was.
We are cursed by our own now, and that will continue and accelerate.

Not all of us fell for the BS the tee vee was beaming out. Those of us that didn't, well yeah, we curse you that did and still are.

Every generation faces challenges and most generations are confronted with chaotic times which demand that people 'choose a side' in order to avoid being on the wrong side of history. Nobody is perfect. It's up to each one of us to decide how much empathy should be granted to those who chose poorly or made mistakes (weren't perfect). Some of us are aware that not all Nazis were evil and not all who fought in the south in the American Civil War were necessarily evil. What is rarely taught, is that in regional conflicts (war) a person often has no choice but to fight. For, if they refuse or run away, they will be killed by their own people. War is never neat and clean. History tends to be very sanitary.

As for gullibility; Yes, it does need to be recognized, but balanced against the fact most people were victims of mass psychological warfare for over a century (centuries?).
