Etymology of OG Kush

The hindu Kush mountain ranges are also known as the Caucasus Indicus in ancient Greek. Some specialist suggest that the word Indicus is derived from the local river on the mountains called indus river. Specialist also think that the word kush means kill. They strap on a bad name for cannabis. Many have thought the word assassin originated from hashish smokers who would go out and kill like an assassin.

I would like to propose a new theory: Cuacasus means the mountain ranges that are large separating areas of the world. While the indicus describes the type of mountains. Basically translates to "mountains where the indicas grow"

Many have attempted to portray the word kush as kill or something evil however I propose that we may have gotten it wrong. Just like the "indicus".

If you traveled back from india in english you might sound and write the words "Indica" and "Kush" but the reality is it might have been spelled. "indicus" and "Khush".

Khush in hindi means: Happy.

This makes sense because the Khush plants in the Khush mountains make you happy when consumed or smoked. This type of cannabis is known for potency and crushing stress and anxiety.

Im my humble opinion I dont think its the slaughter mountains rather the Happy mountains.

Im willing to change my look on this if you got something I dont know. Please free to let me know what you think about this and what you currently believe.

There's something perceived as Blue Dream also. The one I have smells nothing like Blueberry. Not sure about the dozen others.

If you think there's only one OG, youre taste buds are broke. The REAL Og is paki influenced. OverGrow Kush, Original Gangsta Kush, every on in Cali clamoring to be "first". As soon as the term was thrown around it got applied to a lot of crops that aren't even related to the Paki OG, and it stuck because of regionality. Until Pepsi and Nabisco are putting this stuff on the shelf at Walmart, the internet grow scene will never be on the same page.

Most "OGs" today don't have the paki influence and don't have the OG high. And they are twice the size of the real deal..
