New Grow! 50 Plants - 8 Strains

Hey Guys! Been a while since ive been at it but excited to get my hands dirty again. Ill start out by giving the specs on my newest venture.

Im running a 10 x 5 GrowLab tent with 2 yield master 2 air-cooled hoods with (2) 1k watt HPS lights.

I am planning to do 50 plants but as of now i had a few that died so need to pick up a few new clones to get back to 50 (at 46 currently).

Most of the plants im running are from Seed but did pick up a few cuttings as well.

The strains i am running from seed are

Ethos Sour OG Cheese
Ethos Glue
Purple Reign ( Purple Urkle x Fall 97)
Ethos Black Fire Chem

Clones are

Chem #4
Juicy Fruit
Valley Girl OG
Flo

For the most part im about 4-5 weeks into veg from the seeds and have had the clones for about a week. Im planning to flip to 12/12 within the next few days but am having issues with heat in my tent. For the most part ive been having to run at 2 x 600 watts or 1k and 600 to keep temps within reason. Its been extremely frustrating to say the least... I really would like to run this at 2k watts for maximum yield but at this point i dont know what more i could try to get my temps under control.

A little background on my setup... I have it set up so i have my carbon filter in the tent -> fan ->ducting->air cooled hood ->ducting ->air cooled hood -> out tent to rear of AC. The other rear of ac is routed to a window and outside. I have the standing AC set to 62 degrees and the room outside the tent is very cool, around 65 degrees. However when i have both lights set to 1000 watts im getting internal tent temps at above 85 degrees. I started out with a 6 inch inline fan and was suggested in another thread to use an 8 inch fan which i went out and bought one today yet it almost seems worse.

Ive really run out of ideas and am really trying to be able to run both my galaxy switchable ballasts at 1k or even "turbo" if i can get my temps under control but need some help... ill just post some of the most recent pics for now and add previous pics when i have more time...thanks for reading! :)

I’ve been running the lights at 600 to keep my temps at a decent range. Just bought another fan and filter today and going to install tonight. Hopefully by doing that I’ll be able to increase my wattage to 1k for each light. I’m a little bummed that the plants flowers aren’t as big as I want and I ended up vegging too long so a lot of the lower buds are very small and I’m worried I’m going to get a much less yield than originally hoped. Hoping getting my lights up to 2k watts in total for the last 3 weeks will turn things around for me and get me a somewhat decent yield. Here’s a pic I snapped last night...

Have you tried opening the lower vents? The carbon filter is causing an airflow restriction.

What iv done in the past is direct the cold air from the ac right into one of the intakes of the tent. Use carboard, or tin/tape whatever to make it push the air through 6-8inch ducting right into your tent.
