Conservative Support Grows for Medical Marijuana Amendment

A leading conservative organization, Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW), has come out in support of an amendment to stop the Drug Enforcement Administration from attacking medical marijuana patients in states where medical use of marijuana is legal. The Hinchey-Rohrabacher amendment to the Science-State-Justice-Commerce appropriations bill, sponsored by Reps. Maurice Hinchey (D-NY) and Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA), could receive a floor vote as early as today.
