Mad’s Hempy Bucket Vertical SCROG

Thought of this last night. A simple way to make the screen part of the bucket.

Turning the drain elbow up later will increase the res volume.

Attaching some tubing I’ll be able to capture the runoff in a bucket outside of my grow box.

I have two little plants that showed female. When they recover from the stress of being taken out of 12/22 I’ll transplant my favorite smelling one into this. There was a power outage and I had them in the sun for a few days also.

Maybe this won’t be so interesting beyond the bucket design. I’m not planning to flower her in here. That’s why I taped up some Mylar, loose style cause I won’t need a light proof veg box.

Later I want to flower her in another area big enough for four buckets like this.

How many weeks will it take to get her ready? Planning to transplant her tomarrow since she’s starting to green up and grow again.

When she’s moved I’ll put in another one, is such a cycle possible to eventually have 4 in bloom and a 5th in here again? Maybe I’ll be chopping one down by the time ones ready?

The lights I want to flower with are 50w diy Bridgelux I think. Made 3, 2 need fixing, need to build the 4th. I followed a design online, will try to locate that link.

Read recently that strains that have done lots of different mating in their recent past have more common “throwbacks”.

I definitely had one that was similar in structure to Chem the same seeds, I had 5 females outdoors this season. Sure hits like Chem, Mango and vanilla flavors also.

Haven’t grown this indoors yet.

This plant smells very creamy to me, kinda like oranges. Glad it’s not an overpowering lemon smell. I actually got one this season that is such a strong lemon flavor that lasts FOREVER, I call the bud Death By Lemons. Makes me pucker up all crazy. Try to eat chocolate, only helps for a while then the aftertaste is back.

These beans have 3 OG’s in there!

It’s sometimes useful to be able to reach under the plant like that, and to see under there.

Bud pics of her two outdoor sister plants. The only thing I’ve seen from these beans so far. Guess it’s a total crap shoot when it’s a mash up of strains like this.

Cool one reminds me of Purple Haze. Never grew before but bought that and LOVE the taste.

One of them tastes very Blackberry Kush, I have grown before, great!

Looking pretty hungry I think. Bumped up the ppm from 500 to 550. Maybe that’s not a big enough jump.

My organic liquid nutes might be kinda old and not as strong as I remember it.

Kinda doing semi-aquaculture in that, I start with RO water, add CalMag to about 100ppm. Then I add the 1 part grow nutes. My ph is usually pretty low after this. I’ll buy some ph next check, in the meantime I’ve been topping it up to the correct 5.8 ph with my fish tank water. The ph of that has been 8 for a long while now, can’t seem to bump it down no matter how many lemons I squeeze/throw in there. Betting it’s cause the system is overstocked with 20+, some a few inches, goldfish. Hopefully I’m not setting myself up for failure by doing this as a result of adding small solids (fish waste) to the coco, which would eventually muck it up. The ppm of my fish water was 220 today.

Also, delaying the transplant to the bucket while I pre-soak the coco in 2x CalMag. Something new for me.

Put perlite at the botom just above my Hempy drain hole. Coco on top.
