if you cut/harvest a plant it will intensify the smell as a warning to other plants but how long that intense smell period lasts?
think it will intense smell till its ded
depends how fast it dry..
and also is there a difference in intensity between cutting main stem and cutting everything into small pieces what will smell more?
speculation:
I think if you cut everything into small pieces it will smell less because plant no longer can communicate with all the cutted off parts but maybe it can it just sent the signal to smell and will continue like a chicked running around headless does plants have reflexes like animals?
