Erm... What exactly is amusing or admirable about the scurge of society that profits off of some women's misery and bad circumstances?

I have nothing against prostitutes, but pimps, to me, are a scurge on mankind. They should be looked upon as the scum that they are, rather than joked about and/or admired.

Whatever, not really the point of the thread, so I won't clutter it up with any more questions or responses about your 'pimpin' metaphors - just curious why people would compare themselves to pimps (when presumably you would not compare yourself to a child molester).

I've actually compared myself to a lot of bad things, but then that's a whole 'nother story. I don't believe in being politically correct nine times out of ten either. Words are just that, words.

The only way to remove the negative associations given to such words is to affirm an association with something else.

'Course, it don't work most of the time. But regardless, back to the bud born! Sorry Bobby, didn't mean to interrupt your show. (And besides, if I /was/ a pimp, I doubt I'd be so poor and out of fashion, but that's another story)

Thanks for the answers guys, I think i came off across more as attacking than I intended to, just wanted to gain some knowledge - and I appreciate you guys imparting it to me. I know the terms are used in music quite a bit, but the last 'rap' I listened to (yea, I know it's not called Rap anymore, hip-hop still? or is there a new term?) was RUN DMC and Public Enemy, though I'm a more James Brown kind of guy...

So - some more on topic comments/questions...

I follow your threads because your grows have several characteristics of the grow I aspire to have.

-- large personal grow with a TON of strains
-- a focus on quality smoke, rather than commercial quantities
-- soil (though I'll be interested in seeing how the waterfarms perform)
-- CMH (not 100% sold on them yet, wish they had higher wattage, but am impressed with the results)
-- use of a light mover

You are quite innovative with your use of the light mover (the tight grouping of the lights is not something I have seen before). I think you get such great results in part because you are using the mover, and the way you use it. The mover causes your lights to throw light in a million different angles, really pushing the penetration of those lights. You are getting better penetration with your 400s on a mover than a 600 stationary would get, for sure. Your buds look like they were grown under a 1K (I know you attribute quite a bit of the quality to the CMH, but I think the way you are using your mover is an even bigger contributor)

(Also, FYI - I was reading another thread were a guy tested two 600W HPS on a mover over a 4 x 8 table on one grow, and 3 stationary 600W on the next. While he got a higher overall yield off the 3 lights, he got much better gram/watt off the two on the mover)

So my questions:

-- How big an area are your lights covering
-- How far are the lights traveling
-- How long does it take for them to get from one end to the other
-- Are you pausing at each end
-- Are you using the 10rpm or 6rpm mover

A ton of questions, but whatever you can answer would be appreciated.

1. I have three 400s (CMH,HPS,CMH), mounted on a 5 foot bar.
2. the mover travels 8 feet, from the mid point, but kicks out 2.5 feet on each side cause the bar, so really 13 feet back and forth.
3. I have not timed it, but I would guess, between 5-10 minutes.
4. 1 minute pause on each end
5. It is the Heavy Duty "light rail" 3.5 or something. Not sure of the RPM.

There are plenty of growers, that will whip my ass on yield, but I don't grow for anybody but me, and a couple people with some medical conditions. So the quality is paramount. Off topic, but the pain guy has script for 10mg marinol, and you think herb is expensive...Holy shit!

And as my sig says...I'll take the Pepsi Challenge with anybody as far as quality and THC production are concerned.

I am actually about to order a "THC Fingerprint" test kit, that will give accurate THC percentages! Now we will see whose shit is the strongest...breeder wise.

I got the water farm rolling cause I love hash oil, however it uses sooooo much smoke up, I got it half filled with Power House, and the other half G13D, should make some KILLER oil!
