Purdue set guidelines that were wrong-
No, Purdue lied time and again about non addictive properties

What happened there people got a wrong prescription-
No, the medical community cashed in on a KNOWN cash grab that has destroyed millions of families and started in motion a heroin problem that has gripped the nation.

Govt’s job is to protect me-
No. Absolutely NOT the job of the Gov. Not really sure how a govt a agency bringing crack cocaine into LA is then passing ridiculous drug laws essentially removing the male figure out of the black family is ‘protecting’ anybody.

I never once said a patient should have the final say in what he is prescribed. So not really sure where that comment comes from. Anyhow, nice work shilling for and defending big pharma, but they spend millions and millions yearly for PR purposes, hope you are getting yours

You seem to have a huge chip in your shoulder, and have left the core subject and headed through others and on to personal insults.

If you would like to rein it in, instead of acting like a victim of slavery, we can talk about relevant matters that actually exist. Or not. As my explanation of whats happening is sound.

Huge chip on my shoulder? I guess that is all perspective. After watching countless family and friends fall victim to the opioid crisis that was singlehandedly created by big pharmacy, and many not making it through to the other side, yes, there is a bit of cynicism. No, I have not left the ‘core subject’. If you do not realize and comprehend the state of Florida is bought and paid for by 2 political donors (big pharmacy and big agriculture), then you will never understand what this is all about. Personally, for me, mmj means literally nothing. I am not and will never be ‘prescribed’ mmj. I have a HUGE issue however with people being prescribed large amounts of opiates yet because big pharmacy stands to lose large amounts of profits from said industry and have through 2 different election cycles demonized the ‘drug’ dumped tens of millions into ‘psas’. Kind of interesting to me how your argument of a state/ regional issue is so ‘sound’ living on the other side of the big drink. But sure carry on telling me how great big pharmacy is and what a ‘miracle’ modern medicine is. Wonder why after all the lives lost from cancer and there is ‘no cure’? Protip: because there is NO MONEY in a cure... the money is in ‘treatment’

How long were you on the 8 percs a day for? 8 big percs is 80mg of hydro and that's definitely alot, but I've known some guys on 10-20 a day for awhile though, and they seemed to survive somehow.

Oh boy it started about 2006, and approx. 3 years ago I broke the pattern and reduced down to 1/2-1 a day now. I can't seem to shake that last one. The pain is ferocious but the weed helps divert attention I guess

( By reducing I mean I took a 1/4 less a day, went thru a little withdrawal, then did it again after adjusting and what's really interesting to me is that at some point, more oxycodone seems to INCREASE the pain. But that's another conversation perhaps. But that became an additional motivating influence in my reduction ) ( Then I started smoking more and more cannabis....which I then started to taper, about 2 years ago when I found myself alone with the 4 cats....so I had to. )

Prescription opioids are notorious for the damage to the GI.

Have you had surgery removal of any bowel sections yet, I wonder.

Damn bro.

I need to research that I guess. The scariest part is I've been to Cleveland clinic in Ft Lauderdale and they " did not see anything mechanically wrong" then referred me to biofeedback which I work on a little daily and saw a pelvic floor specialist for months.....but now it seems to be getting worse and what's even worse is the surgeon looked me right in the eye 2 weeks ago and said " I don't know what's causing all the swelling but I'll figure it out".

Someone here jumped on me for the opioids when I first signed up here. I think he's from jersey ( ? ) too. This is serious shit and what I will say is that the upper level thc has helped me at night while lower percentages, in the 20% range help during the day without making me too sleepy or stoned. Found a new one a couple weeks ago which I hope to get some of when avail :)

Good news. Apparently the bill to limit THC in smokable bud died in the Florida Senate.

Agriculture commissioner Nikki Fried got a bump from the legislature after they passed sweeping hemp farming bill.

Good news coming out of Florida overall on the cannabis front.
