Lazy Growing in the City with 1600W

Going to start this one off with a little intro. I recently found my way
back here after I bought some new growing equipment after becoming
interested in aeroponics. But unfortunately up until now I have been
too lazy to set it all up.

I had a start run with aeroponics. I was using a ceramic disc mist
maker for ultra fine water droplets in a grey box, unfortunately due to
the vibrations of the ceramic discs the water heated up and I had to
add an additional pump for water circulation to an external passive
radiator which also had the added bonus of keeping the water in
motion and reducing bacterial and fungal infestation. But I couldn't be
bothered to test the perfect time intervals for the mist maker to be on
and I didn't have a good timer yet... Whatever...

Long story short I started with a O.G Kush in Dirt:

So what's next? ok well I think it's back to the old drawing board for
the aeroponics growing which I find very fascinating. Also I just
potted 30+ seeds of Purple haze. I intend to select the strongest
and best plants for seeding and flowering, so I'll probably end up
with just 4.

and then there is White Widow, Purple #1, Cannatonic, Euphoria,
purple erdbeer and many more to grow, lots to be excited about!

The next update of the O.G Kush will be next week.

Greetings from the multi-hopping VPN Tor world

Quick Update

Quick Update

So today I decided to remove all the yellowing fan leaves so that
the buds won't unnecessarily feed them any more, I noticed that the
OG Kush has a strong lemon odor, I didn't know that the O.G smells
lemony but according to Leafly it does:

OG Kush makes up the genetic backbone of West Coast cannabis
varieties, but in spite of its ubiquity, its genetic origins remain a
mystery. Popular myth maintains that Chemdawg and Hindu Kush
parented OG Kush, passing on the distinct “kush” bud structure we
see in many strains today. However, we can’t be sure because OG
Kush first came from bag seed in the early 90s. The earliest
propagators (now known as Imperial Genetics) are said to have
brought the seeds out of Florida to Colorado and southern California,
where it now flourishes. There are many different phenotypes of OG
Kush, some of which include Tahoe OG, SFV OG, and Alpha OG.

OG Kush is cherished for its ability to crush stress under the
weight of its heavy euphoria. It carries an earthy pine and sour
lemon scent with woody undertones, an aroma that has become the
signature of OG Kush varieties and descendants. With OG Kush,
patients most commonly cite improvements in migraines,
ADD/ADHD, and stress disorders.

This was only the test grow as it was gifted to me but so far I am
pretty happy, it looks like it has a few more days to go. I will start
one last feed and then I will starve it for a few days as this is the
method used by greenhouse seeds and then I will flush it for the
final few days.

I apologize in advance for all the pictures, I just love to document
the tiniest amounts of progress.

I will make charas cream upon harvest, which I'm pretty excited
about because I have never done it but it looks fun and the O.G. is
bound to give enough crystals for a positive result. except that my
hands will probably reek for about a week!

WEEK 5 into flowering the O.G. Kush

WEEK 5 into flowering the O.G. Kush

WEEK 5 into flowering the O.G. Kush it's looking good and all but I
have something even better :woohoo:

The seeds of the 26f 6m purple haze have started sprouting, and I am
especially excited about this because last time I grew them I only had
a 250 watt eco light and non reflecting walls. this time I am using 400
WATT HPS lighting and a reflecting grow box, the temperatures are
ambient. The carbon filter actually creates a wonderful circulation
drawing in air from the outside. The plants should get pretty big and
healthy, but I will select the few strongest ones and flower one or 2 of
them and pollinate the others. This is an absolutely EPIC/special strain
and I will not cross it with anything else! EVER!:peacock:

Here are some interesting links for the purple hazes:

There are about 5 that I can see just in the picture below WOW

Hey /Sunglasses, Rep+. I get all my seeds from there, they are very
reliable and discrete.

just in case you were wondering, I got the purple hazes off Dubi in
seedbay:)

these are the original parents which I made F2 from:

MacHaze,

here's the parental info of the haze lines available at the moment:

Purple Haze female 26

Bushy tall structure, taller and most vigorous purple haze. Earthy, woody, grape aromas.
Medium-small ovaries. Medium-low flower/leaf ratio forming big long colas. Medium
resin production. Medium-high yield. Green/purple colours at harvest time. A little bit long
flowering purple haze. Pleasant but sligthy disorienting, more relaxed and balanced high
than her sisters.

Green haze male 6

Bushy compact structure, medium-low vegetative vigour. Her hybrid offspring have shown
the desired fruity incense aromas and powerful electric haze effect. Good flower/leaf ratio.
Green colour in the flowering.

I hope it helps.

Thanks SativaScience and slips for join the thread! dubi

We're having a Field Haze

We're having a Field Haze

:woohoo:

I'm going to be honest I didn't expect any to come out after all that
time, so now I'm sad that I will have to cull so many but it's in the
name if good genetics.

Day 37 into Flowering

Day 37 into Flowering

The buds are starting to tighten up now and expand, keeping the dirt
dry for 1 more day and then I will flood her with lovely filtered fresh
boiled off water, helps when you have a brita kettle.

3 weeks to go!

whats your secret for seeds? do you just plant em straight into dirt? i'm losing too many seeds to mention in those little seedling trays with the individual cells. out of the last 30 i've done i had 4 pop up, and one just died overnight to damping off.

I use treated dirt. Basically I pour in lots of boiling filtered water which
hopefully kills off any dormant bug eggs and bacteria. The soil is totally
soaked, and I leave it to cool off but that takes a couple of minutes.
Then I pack the soil really tight and disperse the seeds evenly on top
of the soil. After that I lightly sieve dry dirt over the seeds completely
covering them. Then I put a plastic freezer bag on top so no water can
escape from the light and heat, but I take the plastic sheet off after 2
days to avoid algae growth (and throw it away because it will
accumulate bacteria). As you can see this does the trick but the process
can vary depending on the materials I can find lying around.

Hope that helps

not to be all uber, *partial* room shot for inspiration - 400w in about a 4'x4' closet, 11 plants mostly in 5 gallons, mostly sats, chimneyed the fuck out of the space.. weighed the remainder out after several months of smoking the harvest and still had well over a pound..

..you can grow a *lot* of weed with a 400w.. :tiphat:

Beautiful pictures, awesome looking grow. Nice to find someone willing to grow sativas. I was curious about the seeds, but I can't find any mention of rep+ or dubi on the googles. Am I just missing something?

Hey Waveguide :tiphat:, I think 400W is perfect for my growing space,
any more and I would have serious heat issues. All the plants are
FULLY lit from the get go and the nodes are all nice and tight, and
even if they aren't I can pinch them. Your Grow looks fucking epic man
That is a serious full load, what was the smell like? I don't think sativa
smell as strong as Indica during flowering, I honestly can't even
remember from the last time, but my carbon filter is on 24/7

Hi Charon, thanks for the compliment you can find Dubi at the below
link I also linked his name to his profile page but this is the thread
where you will get informations about ACE seeds sativa:

Also Rep+ doesn't mean a breeder, I was just giving /sunglasses rep
hehe. We aren't allowed to share seed website information in the
Forums :comfort:

here is another link for the purple haze:

Quick haze update

Quick haze update

I can already see some leaf deformations but most are looking really
good! I will wait until I can see clearer signs of leaf deformities
before culling at about the second node.

I counted 50 seedlings, I thought I only had about 30 seeds:moon:

does anyone know if I'm allowed to write that I want to give some of them away? If it's in
the rules that I'm not you can delete this post. If not you can write me and if you are in
Europe/Holland

Not for a competition i just want to give them away because i don't want to kill them. Seems
like a lot of waste
