cool. That ecsd can be a bitch,
but its on the top shelf when dialed.
took me 5,6 runs to get that perfect sour.

cold temps and enough distance from the lights makes a massive difference in my grow with her. more then with others except the GG, which seems to need cold temps to be real GG inside.

thanks guys, it's been real fun getting to know this harvest, even my super cheese came out real tasty and packs a good punch too. things have cured perfectly now, so i plan to do another photoshoot and a small tasting session for each.

meanwhile my cvault 2l containers arrived and been put to use. as was said, they do work like a charm. i had to improvise with the Kosher Kush tupperware, it wasn't air tight and got too dry. put it in the cvault with the pouch in the lid and about 24 hours later all the bud is perfectly hydrated again. will need to get a few more, maybe some bigger ones too. hopefully i can pck some up in Barcelona at the ic 420 cup this year.

as for the question about the vigour of the Tangy x Cookies, it showed it's self by yielding better then everything else and the plants had a bit more stretch too. at this stage it's one of my favorites, smoking it more then anything else, KK is a close second and then the sd and the od. of course the TC and KK are new, so that might have something to do with why i'm reaching for them a lot. loving the Kushiness of the KK.

cool, best of luck, would love to see the pics when they fower...

cheers for the heads up on the auxin thing. i plan to lower the table and shorten the veg phase, maybe top them too just before 12/12. these strains all seem to stretch quite a lot in my set up. plan to add GG next time too.

Tangie x Cookies

spent 11 hours straight trimming with my trimming specialist, did the de fanning and she trimmed. but in the end i hardly took any pics, was just trying to get through it. will do a complete photo shoot once everything is dry. everything came out really nice, superb amount of resin. except for the top of the buds that got too close to those 600 digi hps's.

Round 2! trich on trich (ACTION)

Round 2! trich on trich (ACTION)

roflmao, how you like my attempt at click bait heading.....

first off just want to say, i will do the end product photoshoot and smoke report, it just has to be the right moment. have not forgotten. just have to set up the lighting a bit.

anyway, i decided to document another run with the same crew basically, but i added 5 GG ladies to the program to make the best of the winter weather and the delicate GG terps.

so this time i'm running:

4 Tangie x Cookies
5 Super Cheese
9 Orange Diesel v3
11 Kosher Kush

5 Gorilla G
6 ECSD/Original Diesel

would have liked to have more TC ladies, but the TC mums seem to have lost some power after the last time i cut them back. want to replace all my mums with fresh young versions of themselves.

as you can see they were pre vegged in the 5cm by 5cm rockwool cubes, i even had to cut clones off them, so they all had a great root mass and were ready to go in the coco. i have dunked them 2 times 4 days apart with captain jacks dead bug spinosad product. i have a problem with thrips, that seem to be re occuring no matter what i do, so i dunk the cuts before putting them on the coco slabs that way the thrips will only show up very mildly just at the last week or so when they can no longer do any damage.

anyway after this run i want to put an ac in, then i can put a hepa filter on the intake and still maintain cool temps without letting the ventilation run too fast and noisy. it will pay off in summer. i just hope i can work out how to install one of these inverted new types of ac. will also need to install more power from the meter.

cuts yesterday:

yesterday just after finished planting :

just a day later today:

so they have now had 24 hours of veg time on the slabs with automated watering 4 times a day. my plan is to give them another 2 days, so they create a strong root network, then ill cut each one back and whack them in to 12/12. this way, i hope they will not get so close to the lamps again, but still make decent tops.

nice, lots of kosher :D

yeah, really like the Kosher Kush, it has something similar to the ecsd, but in the end i would have like to have more TC and less KK, but as that wasn't possible more KK was the compromise. hope i can keep them about 20 cm shorter then last time, so i don't get any light burn.

time to roll some KK now....

Orange Diesel v3

Look: 7 out of 10 (better trim needed)
smell: 8 out of 10
taste: 8 out of 10
effect:8 out of 10

i find it really interesting how this lady has changed since i got her. when grown in warm weather she has a strong citrusy smell and taste with a touch of haziness in the background, then growing her in a heat wave was a catastrophe, she still smelled orangy with a haziness, but no longer had any real kick and the taste just didnt make up for the weakness effect wise.

then came the winter run..... now i finally got to experience this dame in her full glory, she has a stronger kick then both previous runs and now for some reason the orange terps are less over powering and there are some nores of cheminess in there now, with only a mild hazy taste in the background. right now she is one of my favorites, a very special lady, if i didnt have the TC i'd have scored her better, but you have to leave room at the top for scoring lol. non the less, she has her place in my stable secured for now. i do enjoy the cheminess in her and i plan to get an ac so i always have a winter run quality from now on.

she is easy to grow, stretches about 3 to 4 times in coco during flowering, yield is nice, she doesn't like to get too close to the lanps, but then very few plants do, lol.

sorry things are a bit disorderly in this thread, but i thought i'd share a couple more pics. as i said, i vegged them on the coco slabs for 3 days, then i cut them all back, gave them 24hours more on the veg clock and started 12/12. i really hope this holds back the stretch just enough to still get good yield numbers but also not any tops get too close to the lamps. time will tell. they have a great root system now and i made a bunch of new cuts with the stuff i cut back.

here before the cut and after, sadly i didnt think to take the pics from the same angle, doh. oh well, you get the idea.

looks like i screwed up the labeling on the pics. will see if it can be edited.

i didnt cut back a couple of the tc plants as they were placed in the middle of the two lamps, so they can get taller without getting too close to the lamp. as i didnt have more of those cuts i might as well give them prime position in the box.
