snake is great, and easily confused as chicken depending on how you fix it. i've seen rattlesnake meat in canned food sections. a friend fried it like chicken and i thought it was delicious myself. :yummy:

Rattlesnake in tins -wow. Okay, I really didn´t know they do this. In which part of the world did you see this and for how much?

...Snake bulgigi, snake fried rice.....mmmh I wonder how these dishes would be like

I could never eat snake. It comes from catching Gartner Snakes which are native to North America as a child. When caught they sometimes do what's called "Musking" where they release this foul smelling fluid from their cloaca. The memory of that smell is something that I'll never forget.

I know that the snakes people are referring to are different but those memories of getting that stink on my hands and arms from handling snakes will never go away. It's a mental thing. But if it supposedly tastes like chicken then why not just eat chicken. :confused:

Yeah for sure.
They are the first thing I get to pick here in the Spring.
Get em when they are spiked or just opening up.
Cut with a sharp knife. It doesn't effect the plant at all in terms of leafing out later in the season.
Saute, roast, steam.
They are very mild in taste.
I usually saute them with a little salt and pepper and maybe a clove of garlic.
