good luck with that. :) anyone with half a brain can make a functional firearm with a vise & a drill press. hell, they have been made in school shops and prisons. the dirt-poor villagers in afghanistan/pakistan crank out operational versions of AK-47s by hand using heat, hammers, hand drills & anvils.

How about not using stereotypes about gun ownership? You don't seriously think only "rednecks" own guns in the US, do you? People from all walks of life own them. Your sounding very ignorant here.

When gun-buy-backs have been held in various places around the States, the gang-bangers and folks who have serious fear issues (whether based in reality or not) don't bring their weapons in.

Again, America has a far greater issue with respect of life, and seeing all things as solvable with force (foreign affairs, anyone?) than they have a gun problem, per se.

There are numerous countries that have had military-grade weapons in the hands of the citizens in recent times for organized militias/citizen militaries, where they didn't suffer these outrageous and inexcusable outcomes.

The difference, imo, is those places see life and problem-solving in a different light than we do here in America, where we talk peace and proper behavior/values left, right, and center. But when there's a disagreement of one form or another, we most often send folks with guns and more.

The "do as I say, not as I do" thing doesn't work that well when trying to instill values. Plain and simple in that regard.

And parents, do something about your kids' bullying of others. It's not a mark of toughness or cute developmental phases requiring nothing more than to sit back and smile warmly while your kid acts like a bloody sociopath toward others. Teach them something valuable!!

When they sentenced me to 8 years to be with criminals because I was an eeeeeeeevil pot smuggler , I learned how to kill someone with a bar of soap and a sock ( among many other fun tricks you can learn inside ). Shall we ban socks and soap or have special licensing for it? I read that in jolly old England there's new rules for knives now?


It's not the weapon it's the malfunctioning human. The malfunctioning human is malfunctioning for a variety of reasons, none of which are being addressed.

That stat includes kids shooting BB guns, domestic violence across the street from schools, accidental discharges, shootings off school hours etc. But they try to make it out as if 22 times someone has bum rushed a school guns blazing.

Once again...not a single law would of prevented this horrific act.

Angelica Martinez, a 14 year old student told CNN she and her schoolmates were being evacuated at one point, "like its a fire drill".

"We were all standing outside but not even 5 minutes later, we started hearing gunshots." she said.

I suppose they will fix that in post production.

The system is broken. There are no offerings for mental health for kids or adults. Adult psychotics go to prison where they get no help and then dumped off. Kids could be helped and problems worked on way before they get this bad, but there is no money or system in place. People just wonder why this happens. They feel bad and then they wait for the next one.

The guns, Well, the NRA is paid for and works for the gun manufacturers. Gun owners must be responsible and agree that backround checks are not an inconvenience for gun ownership. Further, gun owners should keep 'em locked up and be responsible if one of their guns goes astray.

well,anyway just watched the local news.The mother is really defending her son.i guess he got bullied really bad.broke his jaw and stole his weed and money on a daily basis.apparently they tried to get help but no one would listen.not defending this kid but knowing this area i can believe it.this area is very corrupt.sometimes people just snap.and looking at this skinny geek its no surprise.hes being held on a 2 million dollar bond.just an update

One of the interesting things about that Robert Whitaker - Chris Martenson webcast about SSRI substances (e.g. Prozac) is, they discuss the history of SSRI's.

Specifically, the correlation between violent 'psychotic' breaks in young people taking SSRI's - and mass shootings.

There was actually a petition on the Obama White House website to ask Mr. Obama to study the statistics of SSRI use vs. firearms violence in young people.

The petition got up to 25K signatures.

Then it disappeared.

Tells us something about how influence works at the White House.

An atmosphere of dead serious responsibility for gun ownership vs the ludicrous clown show that has conservatives hysterical about gun rights would change the equation. Guns as a surrogate for patriotism is the logic of the common idiot
