Really interested to see how the HP turns out. This Woolly pheno has a nice floral smell. Total pain in the ass to trim if I remember right. Big fluffy pistils that are huge. That is why I named her Woolly.
Leave you guys with a little root porn this AM. I love Flood & Drain...it is soooo easy. Just maintain that res and watch them blow up.

Thought I would talk about how it is going and some mistakes that were made so far. Also about improvements for next run. Have gotten to day 37 of flower and overall things are going real well. Lets start with the mistakes.
1. To high PPM. Started to high and had some issues with slow growth and Ph swings. The high performance of RDWC needs a much lower nutrient strength. I have been running at 420 down to 290. Then rinse and repeat.
2. Did not defoliate enough. Need to remove more leaves next time. The Woolly is very leafy and need to keep that cleaner. The Glue is much easier. I did 3 times. Weeks 1, 3 and end 5.
3. Left the storage cap on the PH meter while in the fucking rez. For 2 full days. Thought Ph was fine...it was not. 4.5. Kind of important to keep ph in the good range.
4. To much light. Went for 1200 watts and got some light stress showing 3 days later. Backed it down to 1000 and all is looking well since. I am running a 600 watt 4k and a 400 watt 5-6k. Note neither is HPS spectrum.
That is about all for mistakes. I will come back and discuss changes/upgrades for the next run in a new post. My 3 Alien Rift seeds have come up in the grodan. Have them in a little seedling dome. The tent is just amazing. Looking very green and healthy. Going smoooooth. Leave you guys with a little root porn for the night. They seem to like the Hydroton.

Hi all. Now I will talk about changes I am going to make for the next round.
1. Bigger rez. More stable Ph and water level will remain closer to optimum. I have a 14 gallon Brute tote, food grade, that I will use.
2. Put in a pond liner. Just in case. It has come in handy with spills in the tent. It is inevitable with hydro you will spill some water at some point.
3. Possibly move up to 1" lines. I had some root clogging but they were vegged for 32 days. I am not going to veg quite that long again.
4. Just running 1 strain next round. Easier to deal with all around. Nutes, defoliating and finishing. It will be Glue of course.
The 4 things that affected my grow the most positively.
1. Chiller. Absolute must in my opinion. Keeps that nute solution right where it needs to be.
2. More light. I upped to 1000 watts and have never looked back. Wish I would have done it long ago. Addition of chiller helped me deal with higher air temps.
3. Defoliation. Will repeat next time and more heavily..I am convinced.
4. Lower nute strength. I am amazed at how low you can go in RDWC. 420 is the max I shoot for. Less is truly more here.

Made some nutrient concentrates today! They came out perfect. Tested them for ppm and right on the money. Made up A & B grow and the same of bloom. 1 QT each. They will nutrify approximately 66 gallons of water to about 1100 ppm. Basically, a 4 ml per 1 liter mix.

Smoking on some sweet GG4 bubble from last run. Have the Larry OG #2 x Gelato underneath.

Ok, I am a Ocean Grown seed whore...picked up another pack yesterday. Malibu Pie..mmmmm.

End week 6 of flower.

Hi all. Things are going great with the grow and life in general. Gotten to the end of week 6(day 42) and I am pretty happy. I think about the guys that pull 2.5 to 3 lbs per light and I do not think I will be even close to that. Amazes me still how people kill it like that. I am growing Glue so there is that(it is a low yielder). I would be happy if I saw a pound off this run but time will tell. The calyxs are swelling nicely and they are putting on wieght. Tons of trichs there for awhile now and hairs slowly turning. The HP hairs are turning much quicker and it is leafy AF compared to the glue. Big difference in trichs(the lack of)on the HP. Smell is cool though. Kind of a fruit, spicy, skunk. Smoking it will tell the tale if it gets to stay or not. To many good things await to keep non stellar strains.
Whole room of Glue and HP at end week 6. Day 42. You can clearly see the line where the trichs get less.

HP, the Woolly pheno. She is not the most impressive but we will see. This HP seed so far has produced 5 VERY different phenos. Makes me wonder how they were grown/pollinated. I had one that was finished in under 50 days. Another that was frosty and smelled of rotten meat. 2 others that were short, runty and prone to herm. Then the Woolly. The rotten meat pheno I called "the great b3" It was the best one by far.

Tent is real busy with the new pair of glues getting big. Alien Rift are all up and rolling. Both the Pwrek and JCGoo are in 4x4 grodans and I see roots at the bottom. Also have 2 moms in there. Woot woot! Have a great day all. I am off to paddle board on the river with my lab...yeah baby!

The tips and some sides are showing some defs but we are almost in week 8 so no biggie. The HP pales in comparison in trich production.

Thanks so much for that DARKSIDER and GOT_BUD? Really appreciate the nice comments. Feels good to know someone is watching...lol. I am having a lot of fun this run and am enjoying working on my tent set up. Once I get it going the way I like I will show some pictures of how I set it up. I think it is pretty nice.

End week 7 of flower.

Hi all. Gotten to the end of week 7 today, day 49. Looking pretty good in there. Carbon filter is being worked very hard now. Completely reeks out the whole house when I open the door to the grow room. Glue is really swelling and still putting on weight...lots of new white hairs still being put on. The HP has kind of stopped doing much and lots of hairs are brown now. Been watching the trichs and most are still clear. I start to employ a second carbon filter now. I live in a place where I have far away neighbors so it is not much of a issue. Still like to be stealthy, never know who might show up at your door.
Day 49. GG4 and the Woolly pheno of the HP. The Woolly is really not very much to look at. The smoke and smell will decide.

Some of the underside buds down in the canopy. They are looking nice quite a bit down into the canopy. The defoliation I did is really paying off. I will go even harder next time. See Greengenes garden on youtube or MiamiMango, I think on IG, for good examples of how def works. I dont do IG so not familiar with the platform. I should be able to harvest all in a single day and not have to let the lowers ripen up. Doing a rez change tonight. Taking away Big bud and adding Overdrive to the mix. Still running right around 420 ppm

Been really busy working on my tent set up. Getting close to being done. I have it so I can run 3 separate "tables/tubs" at one time. It is all flood & drain or drip irrigated...all on timers. Have some hydroton and grodan in there. Once I get her done will post up some finished shots. Have a great day everyone!

Thanks so much for that bibi40. That Glue just frosts up so nice every time. It is sooo sexy to see those trichomes cover up the fan leaves. Just to be clear. This is a 4x5 dedicated room that I flower in. I do have a tent for the other phases of growing that I am currently putting the finishing touches on....moms and next rounds Glue seem to be loving it!! Have a great day all.

I have gotten to the end of week 8 today(day56)!! Cruising along well. The HP could be starting to be flushed right now. It will be ready in a few days. The GG4 is not ready yet for what I like and will need to go another 2 weeks. Problem is they are both in the same rdwc. Going to let the HP go long and finish the glue right. All should be ok. The HP is just starting to cloud up and show just a few ambers. Glue is all clear and abundant!! I took a couple 8 week samples and quick dried them to test out. I missed not having my glue! It is good, prob better than what I bought and will be way better when finished and cured. Hp is not bad. Will make up my mind when all is said and done.
GG4 at end of 8 weeks. She is caked up and killer looking. Grown under 4k and 5k spectrums.

The HP at end week 8. Not nearly as caked up as the glue. Has a interesting smell and much leafier structure. Thinner fan leaves as well.

Tent is full...gonna be crowded by week 10. All 3 Alien Rift are doing well. My 2 seeds are doing great to. They are on the 5th node now. Looking forward to seeing the sex. Have a great day everyone.

Been working on the tent set up for awhile now. Gonna show you guys what I have been doing with it. It is not final, still waiting on a couple things, but we are getting close enough I wanted to show it off.
Started with a simple Gorilla 2x4x7 tent. I built up a custom sized chrome wire shelving to put things on. Lighting is a 150 watt MH in that air cooled 6 inch reflector on a galaxy digi ballast. Have 2, 24" Sunblaze T-5 ho lights also. 1 over the mom area and 1 for the seedlings or clones depending on whats needed. 4" can fan hooked to a 9000 can filter outside the tent. I have a new tray for the mom area coming...that one is not draining properly. That is why it is propped up a bit.

The lower area with the rez, electrics and seedlings. Have low profile 20x10 tray for those grodan seedlings coming. My first ever attempt at grodan or drip irrigation...it is going well so far. Used a FloraFlex bubbler set up with the drip trays over the grodan. 3 Alien Rift and 2 of my mixes in there.

Have a ph meter along with a cycle timer controlling the 2 F&D trays. The main area and the mom area are F&D. I am hand triggering the bubbler right now 3 times a day...still waiting on that last cycle timer.
Closer shot of the main area and the mom spot. These are all in hydroton. Getting fed every hour for 3 minutes. All containers are food service approved....14 gallon rez with 3..lol... pumps inside to deliver the goods. I like pumps....they are my friends.

Nice thing is it is all adjustable and changeable. I can turn the seedling area into a aero cloner spot very easy. This takes care of my needs for veg, clones, seedlings, moms and the next runs ladies. I like it. Cuts down on my turn around time and lets me play a bit with other grow styles and new genetics.
