No, most of my experience is growing indoors, only two outdoors seasons so far.

I'm sure dubi will correct me if I'm wrong though.

I haven't grown her untopped so cannot assess; this being said, when topped, she wants to take a ball shape, so if height is a concern, I'd top/fim her early, and she will take that shape on her own.

Regarding feeding, only moment where I'd feed her more will be by mid flower, when she's pushing/growing buds, with a good bio seaweed fertilizer or similar rich in SOP/PK.

This is a really hardy plant too... shall be a blast on the ground.

Here's how she was just taken out of the indoor "oven" in August, cooked and disheveled:

Less than three weeks after outdoors:

Notice how the two main "stems" developed into ball-like canopies.

She has a lovely structure for outdoors, well aireated and full of those characteristic regular walnut sized buds all around her.

Only thing I can think about, is you may need to use some netting or staking to support her in mid-late flower, the weight of the buds make the branches to rotate pointing to the ground:

It will be caged and brushed in. Too many critters. Height is my greatest consideration. Minimal food and left to fend for itself, I'm shooting for 5 Feet. Many thanks, repuk.

you're welcome Lotto! :tiphat:

I think if you put her in the ground outdoors leaning to the late side, and top it, 5 feet of height won't be a problem... but be prepared for the cage width!.

The one pictured was 5 feet tall including the pot.

dubi has the final word tho!

New run of ZxKC. The mother of these clones was harvested a few weeks back. This strain is a joy to grow. Adaptable, very quick to finish, out of this world smells and a real mellow treat.

More clones and a couple new seedlings of this cross will go into the ground in a few weeks. Anxious to see what the newborns throw off.

Wow Lotto!!! How I miss not having taken some cuts from mine!

I see my pheno was more leaning to the sativa part, judging by growing structure, and by the buds shape with that characteristic KC "rosebun" look in yours, I'd say mine was 70/30 sat/ind while yours looks quite the opposite, don't think managing yours height outdoors will be a problem, I'd say you'll get a huge ball-shaped canopy.

Can only imagine the smells and tastes!!

Happy to hear she's going to the ground outdoors!!! :woohoo:

Repuk, that's why I popped a couple seeds, in hopes of getting a different look. But I have to say what I've seen so far will be hard to beat. From rooted clone to harvest you're talking under 90 days. Four indoor cycles a year without any effort. Just can't say enough about this cross.

Here are two going to flower in 3 days - one is the branchy sort, one is a bull necked mainstemmer, hard to keep tied down. I have one more of each type outside, looking good despite 37 degree nights;) Love this strain.

Group shot of 5 ZxKC. The 3 on the bottom are clones of the original, which I will refer to as Stubby. The one fading fast was on a mild kelp and water diet throughout. The other two on conventional organics. I've harvested 6-8 plants of these and am totally pleased. Quality, good production, ease of growth and smells are top notch.

The 2 on the top are new starts. One I'll call Tall and the other Short. The one on the left I'll assume leans more towards the Zam. side. It has a much more open habit and is leggy. Just into flower at about 5 weeks. The Short one more resembles the original Stubby, but with a bit more length. This one will have a home soon, in rich native soils, under the sun.

Clones of the original and the new starts will eventually fill the room with their aromas. Anxious to compare the three but don't expect any great differences.

Repuk, I see where you are on your last dab of smoke. I wish I could share. I have more than I need but can't seem to stop growing it. Been passing it out to friends who all say the same thing. Bam Wham thank you Zam.

Here's Zeke 13 days 12/12. Nice, big gurl;) Hydra is now outside with the other 2. She didn't like the conditions in the tent, but really likes being outside - as does everyone.

Little verbal update, as are they all these days;) Zeke is starting week 8 since flip and is producing really nice colas with abundant crystal and general fatness. Good choice to keep in the tent. I culled Hydra and the last two are now largish bushes;) One has been wanting to flower for a month and is now producing clusters, the other is fat and dark, twice the other, and extremely balanced. Just showing pistils and wanting quite strong feedings.

Again, one of my absolute favorite strains to grow and to smoke, especially with pals. Great vibes, boutique flavors, and when you grow it, each plant is like a mystery chocolate to be unwrapped, lots of variation to the terps and almost never a boring plant. Zeke is definitely not yet the most photogenic of the ones I've grown, Hydra prolly would have been, but smell and production are winners;)
