More Safe use Bong with this Filter

Hello ICmaggers. I feel good. I wish you all feel good too.

Now i want show you all something good i think.

Look at my Picture first:



To this test i Use 4 weeks cured weed.

A: Brand new Glass Filter from Black Leaf

B: 3pc of Same Glass Filter used only 1 day. 2 tooks each one
0.1 g by scale
Total 0.2 g only / each Glass Filter
3 x 0.2 g = 0.6 g is smoked by these filters in a Bong.


You already see the brown / black thing , the mess
when they have been in 85% alcohol about 1day.
I use shot glass 6cl , i have 2cl 85% handbacteria-killer- alcohol to clean 2-4pc 10minutes at least of them before i wash them out


All these 3 glass filters you see was brand new 24h before this picture.
Only 0.6g total and you see the mess.


How to use them in bong? :

You need atleast 18mm socket.

These Glass Filters by Black Leaf i use have size 12.5mm
I put this Glass Filter first in my socket. Then i have 15mm
metall screenfilter over this glasfilter.

They comes in 4pc per package.
They last 1 month for me.
Daily bong user 6-10 hits day about 0.1g at time.

Cleaning them is simple
Let them sit in alcohol. atleast 10minutes
After that easy handwash hot water and little soap


Bong water and the self Bong stays much more clean.
They need less wash and change when you use these glass Filters that are much more easy clean.

looks like you would place it inside the downstem so the bowl sits above it and the smoke passes through?

I have an adapter that I could rig to do this. I never thought of a carbon filter. Is that a good idea? Somehow, I want to say, no.

I've smoked with a carbon filter in a bong before and all it did was pull all the flavor from the flower. I didn't care for it.

That's exactly how I thought it would work. Taking all the scent and flavor from a hit doesn't sound like a great idea. LOL I am going to make one today and see what it feels like. Thanks

Since carbon scrubbers are used in grow rooms to absorb the stinky odor, and activate charcoal is used for color remediation in extractions (albiet absorbs thc while doing so), all this does (if in fact it is carbon), will filter out smells, taste, as well as some thc potency.

So imo, waste of time.

Those glass filters are basically frit (screened glass shards) that is heated to the point of slight fusion so the mass sticks together, but does not melt, so it retains small air passages. If you use them, make sure that the air flow that passes through the filter hits water afterwards in case there is remnant glass particles that get shed off. IMO, these should never be used with dry pipes, you need water to capture any microglass that might shed off, especially if the filter starts to check.

Also, if you ever drop one, pitch it, as that could cause internal cracks to form within the mass and shards may break off later when heat and airflow hits it.

So here is what i feel about this Glas Filter Screen in Bong



CONS:

You can only take One, max Two hits , and you need CHANGE the filter to new washed one.

To avoid this stop the pleasure, have 12-16 different screens , then you dont need clean everyday

Same High if you use this right ( have always extra washed ones ready )

You see all that dirt in first picture in the threath start ? I save my Lungs for this mess

Clean Bong and Bong water Much longer.

Less BONG water change and wash

Final thoughts:

Its more easy wash the screens than Bong manytimes.
This is better and more easy anyway.
Just drop them in Alcohol, Wash out, burn them dry and have them ready then.

If you do alot bonging this can be very good healthy way.

Taste is good, remember have very clean screens, max 1 or 2 tooks and wash them

Effect is same, I have my most heavy hit ever couple days ago.
When i got it, i did this in my Bong with new washed glass screen

i Have done alot Bonging many years without this glass screen.
Im happy today i found out this trick. By me self Hehe
I do alot Bonging Everyday.
This Glass Screen is awsome really I feel better than ever now.

One more thing.

When you want these Glass filter screens shine like new ones

Wash them first like normal with alcohol and water.
Then you need burn them so them glow red a bit.
you need Big Storm Lighter or Mini Butane Torch.

This i do every third time.
2 handwash
1 Jet/storm lighter glow burn.
Then same again
2 handwash.
1 Jet/glow burn

This is how you do it:
Place two metal screens on a thick foodplate.
Place the Glass filter over them.
Start burn with butane Jet/Storm Lighter and burn about 15-20 seconds each side of them. Blow a little to cool down them.
Change side, do same again.

The metal screens under let them pass air truth the gas/burned Glasses, this helps makes them clean like new. You must do this.
Allow the extreme heat pass and dirt with it.

Now they are like brand new.
They dont melt or things.
You can manually blow thru them with your mouth, check that air goes thru easy after they have cool down after 5 minutes.
Then enjoy very clean hits and bong

You always need burn them after washing a little with jet lighter. 5 seconds is enough each side.

When you wash them third time. You want them to glow red, and have two metal screens on a foodplate under the glass to allow air and dirt pass extra easy .
The third time to get them glow red you need burn longer like 15-20 seconds each side so they glow red. This way they get like brand new
Remember blow little bit also to cool down them fast and let more air pass, this helps the cleaning effect also.

So two handwash with alcohol and water, also little soap at end. Then heat them 5 second each side so they are totally of soap and things.
Third time you need make them glow.
Then repeat
After about 1-2 month you want new ones i think anyway.

I change them when i have wash them about 30 times.
They can hold and stay like new alot longer i think. Like 300 times also maybe ?
Glass dont change so much

There is alco THC special cleaning you can buy, maybe these makes the glow wash unneccary

These hold two tooks in Bong
After that they are very dirty, and stops blocking the air go truth easy.
Also taste bad then.

Anyway these are easy wash and take care of.

Percolator bongs stays clean. You dont need wash them alot after this.
Just change water daily and then you need clean the bong by washing it once week .
ABOUT that. depends how much you bonging.
I do it daily

Before these Glass screens i need wash the Bong daily. Now it goes about a week clean because of these Glass filters.
Only change water is need daily.

Water seems good enough if the diffuser is engineered. Water definitely pulls the monoterps out when vaporbonging though, not sure how dabbers ignore that
