"Soma" rama in Heads mag

Guest

I just read the newest issue of "Heads" magazine "Somarama" and the whole thing is written by Soma and it is unbelievable.

What an inspiration. Soma is on another level in so many ways. This issue should become the bible for any indoor soil growers or any grower for that matter. Talks about everything from seeds, seedlings, clones, soil. lights, bubble hash etc... Plus he goes into the relationship between you and your plants, Killer spiritual stuff.

Real good stuff an must read for everyone

gotta agree that HEADS is doin the right thing. High Times is fuckin stupid as hell to try and diversify the topics! Now they got a whole new mag that has NO name recognition.

Heads took the opportunity to go NUTS on what potheads really wanna know about... HOW TO GROW! I think most any pothead would rather grow their own than buy it from someone else, and HEADS' got the point! :) good thread, it's time these mags oughta up the quality of their content.

I haven't read ICmag though, so i can't speak any opinion bout that one. The site's great! so i bet the mag is good too. Here's to hoping it stays on topic ;)

I agree... not to say IC isn't a great magazine, but EVERYONE should own this issue. Good stuff!

Heads has made me an offer also...

Heads has made me an offer also...

Perhaps my friend Soma recommended me. :)

I will be doing a piece on double potting later this summer and he tells me I have a strain that is in the running right now for their bud of the month feature. :p

David Strange has honored me very much by asking me to do this and we have worked it out I think. I just need time is all as I have a lot on my plate right now.

I follow my guru, Soma at the seminar so I will be nervous when I speak my piece there at the 420 Growers Cup. I can't wait to see Soma again. I have never disagreed with master Soma as he is more learned than myself and he is spiritual as well.

I bow humbly to master Soma... :) BOG

Usually the info on these boards is the same stuff rehashed over and over and new people discover the wonder of producing for yourself. But BoGS Double Potting tip was one of the best ive ever picked up, for the soil grower especially a sick person taking labor out of the process wherever you can is a must, Double Potting was wildly succesful in my last grow, saved me time, energy and cleanup and on top of all that the plants seemed to take so much better to being simply placed in more dirt then being ripped from one home and put in another :)
Much Love

Would that be the April issue of Heads you are talking about? I'm going to the store as soon as I can get a ride. I gotta get that magazine. Texas Kid, thank you for sharing that info.

BOG- Congratulations on being picked to write an article. I'd say that's a pretty big honor. I Never seen your article on double-potting. Do you have a link? Also, congrats on the Bud of the Month nomination. You must be doing something right huh? I've actually only had the chance to grow 1 of your strains, and it wasn't even my own grow. A friend and I did it together. My buddy knows what he is doing though, but doesn't pay enough attention to the weed. So, I made sure I was over there every other day at least(he lived real close at the time, so I was usually over there every day). We grew your BogBubble. We sprouted 10 seeds, but 3 never came up. So, out of 7 seeds we got 4 females. Honestly, the yield was not what I had expected after seeing the picture you used to have at SD of you holding a HUGE BB. We had 4 other strains going at the same time. The other strains were Mr. Nice, HashPlant, C99, and Cali-O. We averaged around 1.5 to 3 oz.'s on the strains listed above, and 1/2oz. to 1oz. from the BogBubble. Now, I am not bitching about the yield at all. I was just a bit dsappointed after seeing the monster plant in the pic and then seeing ours. It had a bunch of smaller popcorn nuggets on it and a few larger nugs, but the resin/cystals were out of this world! Oh, and the smoke was pretty damn impressive too. It put me in the best mood.

The day it was ready to smoke, I grabbed a 1/2oz., put it in a jar and went over to a friends house to show off the new smoke. I ws inside for about 45min. or so, and while I was in there someone stole every damn CD I owned (easily over 200 CD's). I had brought all them with me cause I was headed up to a friend's house about 3 hours away and promised him I would bring CD's for him to make copies of. So, when I came outside I was flipping out big time screaming and swearing. At this point I hadn't smoked any of the BogBubble yet. I had just packed a few bowls for friends. So, I got myself together, jumped in the car and began my 3 hour trip. I packed a big fat bowl of the BogBubble pretty much as soon as I got in the car. After about 15 minutes and 4 or 5 hits off the pipe, I started feeling real nice. After another 2 hits I was set. I had to put the pipe down. As soon as the high kicked in nice and strong, I swear I didn't even care that my CD's were stolen, and I'm not exaggerating at all. It put me in the greatest mood. I had a big smile on my face and I was singing along with the radio. It put me in a kinda goofy mood. The one bowl I packed lasted me all the way up to my friends, and all the way home the next day. So, that should tell you something about the potency :D

I can't wait until I get a chance to grow out some of your strains on my own. My weed always sems to turn out better when I do it on my own. As far as the yield I got on those BogBubble's, is that about normal yield? Or did I maybe get some smaller yielding phenos? Either way, it is an amazing strain BOG. Even with a bit lower yield, the potency/high makes up for any loss in yield. I'll take quality over quantity any day.

Well, sorry about this long and rambling post. Once again, thanks for the info Texas Kid and congratulations BOG. It's nice to see you getting recognition for your work.

I have grown many of Soma's strains. Amethyst, Buddah's sister, Lavender, Chitral and of course, the Deisel. I loved ALL of them and have kept mothers of each for going on 3 years. I f I had to pick just one though, it would be amethyst hands down. This strain has it all, sharp soury kind of smell, goes purple-ish naturally, and a good yeild in eight weeks. Soma's strains are definitely worth the price and in my opinion are some of the most unique genetics available on the open market today.

All the Soma varieties I tried, I really enjoyed. The Amethyst just stood out to me. So did the Deisel...and the lavender... but the Amethyst is still the one I would smoke first. Thanks for the kind words Texas.
