The ECRA Mission - The European Cannabinoid Research Alliance

The European Cannabinoid Research Alliance (ECRA) has been founded to pool the vast and diverse knowledge of European academic research laboratories working on molecular, cellular, systems biology and pharmacology of drug addiction with particular interest in the biological actions of endocannabinoids, phytocannabinoids and related lipid mediators. ECRA's mission is to act as the key European platform facilitating bi- and multilateral scientific interactions, to bloster information exchange amongst partner institutions, to serve as an interface between academia and the pharmaceutical industry, and to bolster the career of young scientists.​

The ECRA Young Investigator Award is presented bi-annually to an upcoming European scientist whose work deemed outstanding and most influencial on European endocannabinoid and lipid research as recognized by ECRA members.​
