wow, nice looking reverted males.

I started an auto NLxMalawi exactly a month ago. It got first in 0,3 liter pot for half a week and transplanted to about 30 liters (pot is 44) of amended soil later.I have been bending it during the last two weeks but it has already started to flower so I guess I shouldn't bent it anymore. should I? the rest were germinated a week later but them seem to be growing slower than this one so not sure they are getting to reach the same size.

should I stop bending it? I dont want them to surpass the 1 meter height along flowering what I suppose they won't but I would also like to not loosing any yield.

on the left there is another auto NlxM and on the right an auto zamaldelica. NlxM seem to get bigger than autozamaldelica since I got to have 2 of each out of a 3 pack of each and the auto Zamaldelica seem to have less vigor. am I right? I am using guanokalong complete (medium dosage) for the first time and I think I will just add a bit of guano powder along this week fot it to get available on mid flowering.

Luiggi

Glad to hear you are growing both Auto Malawi x NL and Auto Zamaldelica this season :) your support is much appreciated.

6-7 hours of direct light is more than enough to get good results with our autoflowering genetics. Auto Malawi x NL is in average more vigorous, bigger and higher yielding than Auto Zamaldelica.

There's no problem on bending the plants softly down, sometimes this can even expose better the budsites to the light, therefore getting bigger, more potent buds. Start with the bending early on when plant is still young and flexible, and don't practive agressive bending that can produce any major stress.

Right now; I think the eldest was born around April 15... The other two smaller ones, later:
Thanks for the update amigo :) March-April this year was a great moment in our peninsule to start the autos, weeks and weeks aheads of super sunny hot days to promote decent sized big auto plants. Last weeks we have had have been really cloudy (i don't complain, we need the rain!) and with chill temps, so not the best conditions for a vigorous growth on the autos.

Glad to see the bigger one already flowering, you won't notice much difference because you see them often, but the changes are massive in just 4 weeks more from this point. Hope the 2 smaller ones can catch up soon as well! Buen fin de! ;)

MA x NL day 59 from seed. Nine days without watering didn't hurt her much.

Hi all!

I am quite happy since it seems this year there are quite a bit of us that have chosen this strain to get grown outdoors and I love seeing outdoor plants growing and even more when I am checking a new strain.

Then, just a little update from my side. Both are auto malawi x northern lights. the biggest is only a week older than the other but it seems to be more on the sativa side. It got sprouted on May 1st. the second one is one week younger.

In addition we have been having quite some rain during whole june and so not too much sun so I guess they could have grown a bit bigger if sun had shown for longer.

This last one seem to start getting that sativa leaf but seems more on the northern side I think.

I will try to update auto zamaldelica's in it own subforum.

Super lovely spiky sativa bush in the first pic! Will be a joy to trim. :joint::cool:

MA x NL day 65 from seed. No rain since weeks. Night temperatures between 13°C and 17 °C, during the day 25°C-30°C. 2.5 liters of water every 2-3 days ... guerillia conditions. Apparently more of a Malawi dominant phenotype.

Hi all,

@paisajedehierba, your plants seem quite healthy taking into an account they haven't been watered too much. As mine, it seems they get thin leafs when starting flowering. Actually I think yours got this trait more developed than one of mine.

This first one is just one week older than the other, however it started to flower almost three weeks ago while it was not until this week when the second one started.

IMG_20230615_222629.jpg

the second one, the one in the plastic pot, seems to be less Malawi influenced and it seems it needs more feeding than the first one.

IMG_20230615_222750.jpg

For the first one I think I am not bending any more even when branches aren't still so woody. I don't think they will strech longer any more.

I have noticed that using these small biodegradable pots for germination that a well-known supermarket gave away has slowed down the initial growth and the total development of the plants: the pot, even when it is always in moist soil, takes a long time to soften and allow the roots to of the seedling can pass through it:
IMG_20230617_114003.jpg

Even so, the development in these last 15 days is clearly observable; yesterday, June 16, at sunset ("general shot" of the 3; the oldest was born on April 15, the middle one a week later, and the youngest two weeks later; if I remember correctly):

...Now I leave photos of each one...

Hi all,

Back again for an update.

@Eltitoguay, I think my oldest plant is in the same stage than your oldest. However in my case there are no skol cans growing untlder the plants. jejeje.

I have bent it quite a lot. They seem already growing big bracets. the smell is fruity and the buds are getting sticky. it should be about 60 days old. From the bank report it says 9 to 10 weeks of flowering what i guess means 13 to 14 weeks for the whole cycle. am I right? If so, the oldest should be ready about the beginning of August and the younger a week later.

The older

It has been raining for the last two weeks and stigmas out of the bracets are getting brown.

The younger

This last one seems to not growing that big. I think it has to do with it being in a plastic pot.

Have a good day,

Hi all,

little update.

Oldest of them is quite resinous. It should be in about the fourth to fifth week of flowering or so and I am not sure this is throwing new reflowerings. I guess this is the sativa side pheno so from the information it might take up to 12 weeks. Never before have I had buds with this shape so I am quite amazed by its development. How should new reflowerings show?

This other seems more on the indica side pheno. Buds got quite thick and big in just like 3 weeks. smell is different and it is smaller in size then the oldest one. Might have to do with the pot size but seems it has to do with the phenotype. got no pictures of the buds of it.

IMG_20230628_220234.jpg

Have started to feed them with Humus (worm castings) tea because they seem hungry.

Regards,

Hi all,

Finally got some pictures of the buds in what I think is the indica leaning pheno. Is is not that large as the sativa pheno is but I think it'll bring a good weight when harvested.

Really a nice one you got there with long fat buds! Like the more sativa leaning one this lady is getting hungry too. That pheno is not only yielding good, it's high is not so much indica like someone would first think, you will have a great night sleep yes but first it goes well in the head plus good mood. :) Almost medical qualities i would say, made me a sweet summer last year and helped with my health too, just slept so good. :good: 💤

Hi @Mitsuharu,

Thanks for chiming. Did you get the two phenotypes too? If so? what about the rest of them? being that you say its high finishes sleepy do you think it will be worthy to harvest one bud a week earlier or so to get a less sleepy experience? or is it making a difference in cerebral experiene power too?

Does the sativa leaning has the same high type? I think I heard that Malawi had this type of sleepy hangover when high is coming down so I guess it doesn't only have to do with the indica side.

Smoked 0,25g of one year old MA x NL (Indica-sativa habit with bulky sticky buds full of big Malawi trichomes) again last night and can confirm what Mitsuharu says. The high starts out energizing in both the mind and body. I felt like watering with 14 liter watering cans the many potted plants in the garden, which always takes half an hour. It was fun to fill the watering cans from the rainwater barrel and to start walking one can in each hand over the terraces. An appropriate workout at the moment. The mood gets a little more comfortable after 60 to 90 minutes. Once settled and seated, I felt relaxed, with a contemplative sequence of mental reflections. Everything in a chilled mode and a good night's sleep. Lying in bed, with closed eyes, there are hints of head cinema. This morning I feel ready for the day's work.

Malawi x NL day 74. Dusted with (MA x NL) x MA (F1) pollen on a few lower branches 10 days ago. I hope the seeds will still get ripe. This pheno has narrow leaves but somewhat leafy buds.
