Hello all,

How do you like vaping, Hank? I've been using my handheld for over a year now and I love it. I haven't gone back to smoking pipes. I do have the occasional joint, mostly during manicuring, but I'm 99% vaping now, and I just absolutely love it. I never have that ashy taste in my mouth anymore, I never inhale embers, and I can taste the flowers so much more than I used to be able to while smoking them.

I been vaping a few years now... Had a volcano. Mighty and crafty.. All good.. Recently had the boundless cf which was good...
I now use the boundless Tera and in my opinion its really good... Practically self cleaning and delivers a very good service.. Only downside is the haptic buzzer.. Its a pain in the arse and can't be switched off... I have made boundless aware of this and they said they will be changing it on future models

All round brilliant vaporizer

I was looking for a solo 2, but just get a second hand Plenty a desktop unit, I have to say as a heavy smoker it's really nice and make dense clouds, good flavor and get you very high. Sometimes remind me a good bong hit.
The problems it have a great chamber to fill and you have to plug for use it. :tiphat:

I'm about to upgrade to my first desktop vaporizer. I'm graduating. I just love vaping and smoking is behind me now. I'm also on a budget and can't afford a volcano, so that's out of the question. I'm thinking about either the e-nano or the extreme-q. Any of y'all use one of those and would like to recommend it or warn against it?

I have had both. I sold my Arizer Extreme Q. It's not a single use vape. Great for parties.

The E-Nano is amazing. The best thing is that is is a true one hit on demand vape. Many people leave theirs plugged in and turned on 24/7. I usually turn mine on in the morning and it stays on all day. I shut it off at night. So, all day, I can go to it and fill a bowl and get the most amazing hit of any vape. It's adjustable so you can make the temp anything you want.

The older E-Nanos were pretty sure to crack in the wood sooner or later. Mine did.... twice. The first time, I sent it back and they fixed it. The second time, I realized I didn't care. LOL However, they have revised the design since then and the new ones should be much better about not cracking.

I use mine with a whip and a stand and a bong. However, it works great with just the dry stem.

I think you've sold me on the e-nano. I'm not a party kind of guy. I generally vape alone. Sneaky Pete did a review of the extreme-q, and he mentioned something about a mod that makes it work better as a single use vape. I'm going to have to look into that. The only reason I would go with that one is because it's $20 cheaper than the e-nano. I also like the idea of a fan-assisted draw, but that's just a luxury.

I keep hearing nothing but good things about that e-nano, though, for sure. Clearly it's a great option.

I was kinda stoned when I butted in, sorry. I keep coming back to my Volcano being the best way to intake the goods through my old lungs. I ordered a hybrid with a 21% discount shipped free. The faster heat response time is why, plus my digit goes to a friend.

Here is some info I have dug up about vaporizing and efficiency, that I posted at the AVB thread in edibles.

Q: Is AVB any good for edibles?

Yes, depending on how hot and how much you have vaped the material. Color is a good indicator, dark brown usually means used up. Green remaining, like my Once Vaped Dope (OVD), filling a 2' bag at 375*, probably has MOST of the compounds still remaining, except the more volatile ones like terps which I like to vape.

Here is why:

This report is hard to read, but it shows a lot remains after the first bag:

https://www.rollitup.org/t/prelimina...hornby.393439/

This one is a more scientific. Referring to figure 3, I don't fret too much about leaving a lot of goodness in the material at 375* (under 200*C), since what remains will go into the edibles.

https://www.researchgate.net/profile...36e2000000.pdf

Refer (reefer?) to figure 4. I have a habit of stuffing the container pretty full of finely ground material, which is about 1000mg, which could roll a fat doob. That chart in combination with the 375* temp, shows my method is leaving MOST of the goodness for the cookies, but I got to taste all those volatile terps and compounds with the vape.

One science paper that measured the volcano showed a large temp difference between the bottom of the material (gets the hot blast directly) and the top, over 20*C. The material on the sides doesn't get as hot as the material in the middle. If I put a lot less in each "bowl" the material would bake out more and less would remain.

From all this it would seem the best way to get it all in the vapor is to put very little in the chamber and crank the temp all the way up. Good luck inhaling it though, and it is done for butter.

I now fill one bag of the 375* for the flavor, then if I feel like the temp gets maxed @ 420* (LOL) for a second bag heavy in delta 9. Otherwise the material gets saved. The links are field tested to be true = much stronger at 420*. I usually don't do 420* unless I put a chilled glass Magma in the stream, to cool the vapor going into the bag. Hotter temps vaporize thicker, longer-chain stuff that makes me cough as it condenses in my lungs. I think they condense first as the bag cools. The magma gets amber oil and some white stuff condensing on the cool walls. That 420* material, especially with the longer vape time because the bag fills slower with the Magma resistance, is dark brown and done.

Let a bag vaped at 420*, thick vapor, sit a while. It cools, the thicker higher boiling point compounds you don't want anyways condense in the bag. Wait too long and the bag clears and the vapor is pleasant tasting, but probably weak if the good stuff condensed. Finding the right color / thickness of the vapor is key IMO for taste/buzz balance and reducing coughing. At least for my old lungs.

And yeah, you can soak a used bag in everclear and get good color from the stuff that condensed on the bag (instead of your lungs).

Big fan of the Pax3 and vaping in general. The new devices allow for a lot of temperature control. You can really get a great taste of the Terp profile when vaping dry flower.

For dry flower, I've been using one of my vapcaps for micro-dosing (2-3 hits per bowl). Arizer Solo 2 gets me two 10 minute sessions per bowl, and if I'm looking for more, I'll grab my SplinterZ. For concentrate, Boundless Terp pen didn't work for me, Kandypens Crystal gets a little hot, HVT Sequoia not bad, but a little hot, Focus V carta wasn't too bad - it broke within a week. I've been really tempted to grab a Rio and I'll probably grab a Dr Dabber Switch if there's a 420 sale.

My Volcano Hybrid with new style material chamber came in. The chamber wall heats through the bottom via metal-metal conduction, so the material heats from the outside in and the goodies evaporate more thoroughly. When you add the fan to blow heated air through, the material sheds the goodies quicker and denser. Or you can heat the material in the chamber, turn off the heat, and draw the goodies through the whip. The temp reached set point much faster than the Digit.

The material chamber is attached to the volcano securely, so they have a whip attachment which won't pull off. the first "powered" hits through the whip after pre-heating the material chamber are pretty stout. I may add a water condenser in line with the whip and turn up the temps above the 370 I was using on the Digit. The little Magma water glass is more secure because the material chamber is .

The fan is quieter, so I suspect they isolated the pump better. I won't associate it with a phone, and my WIFI hotspot isn't seeing it despite the BT indicator on the unit. Flip phone with BT can't see it. It would be nice if the remote control-ability could be accessed without the NSA.

So, I like the Hybrid as it is much better at temp-controlled vaping than the digit, because of the heated chamber and whip capability. The balloon easy-valves are the same and the whip would work with the Digit, if you hold the chamber in place so you don't tip it with the whip. The whip has a fixed tip so if you are passing it you have to watch the spit. On bags, I have separate mouthpieces I hand to guest tokers, which can be soaked in alky between uses.

BTW, I got this priced right from an online store that was honest and easy to deal with. PM me if you want their details. This isn't an ad.

update: Wow. That whip... I am running it at 425* now which I think is the real THC boiling point. This thing heats the material chamber, and thus also the material. You can draw through the whip to taste how well the material is shedding goodies. When the heat is ready, the fan is turned on and the goodies shed in a big "whoosh". There may be 2-3 hits on a 1gr bowl, but the terps are super strong and the head rush is great. After that there is a burned wood smell that triggers my and also a friend's coughing. So a whole doob in 2-3 hits, then dump the remains in with the ABV. The burned wood smell is the stuff that makes me cough badly.

I am rediscovering THC and never experienced such strong terp aroma. Runnig it at 390*, there are 3 hits of pure flavor delight. The bag was blending all that in with what I think is deteriorating plant material.

If the Arizer is also a heated chamber, I can see why you guys like it. Same with a nano. What a difference than filling the balloon.

I have the solo II and air II, they use the same glass tubes. You load the bottom of the tube and it sits above the heating chamber, so your herb is only touching glass. I'm running the solo II around 370 for a few minutes before bumping the temp up 5 degrees or so (depends how fresh/moist). The first couple hits before the vapor are pure taste.

I've got a couple whip based (Silver Surfer/ Super Surfer) with water attachments, but they don't see much use anymore. I tried buying a flowerpot vrod Black Friday, but couldn't get my payment to go thru :(

Edit to add: I prefer having the option of setting the temp by single degrees rather than having to remember which button/light/color is what temp range. It's easier to fine tune.

high friends,
i was a heavy smoker and still smoke sometime today with friends at parties.
anyway, i switched to vape 2 years ago after 22 years of heavy smoke...
if now have 2 vapes.
this is my advice:
if you whant something portable go for arizer or S&B,or Dynavap: solo 2 or air 2 and /or crafty and Vapcap or DynaM
if you prefer a desktop go for arizer or S&B , ExtremeQ or any volcano.
even others are good but could be more tricky to use.
also in the vapour quality domain these brands were for quite a good time on top so far...
and customer service is famous worldwide.
have a nice day and great buy for you and Madame :huggg:.

Volcano hybrid - desktop. I use 420* setting, load almost a gr of ground material into the chamber. It sits 10 seconds and then I take one power hit, as full as I can get my old lungs. Remove the chamber and dump the material fast, before it heats any more. That is my ABV, full of the oils but shed of the terps. Interesting high, lungs feel great. Goes well with edibles from the ABV.
