Hammer Mill For Chopping Material

So, I've been using a Ninja blender to blend material before packing it into the columns (thx Terpchild). I need something more industrial. I was thinking about a hammer mill but I'm afraid the crushing, rather than slicing, of the material may produce a shitter product; I don't know. Any thoughts? What's industrial with blades? Maybe a wood chipper?

We used a hammer mill on the stems and it works well. The only reducer for stems that we found that would stand up to the task.

You can control sizing somewhat with the screen, but it still produces a lot of fines.

Buddy cut a hole in a 50 gal drum lid..weldeda lawn mower on the lid of a 50gal drum...cut holein the deck and welded a hopper on the top.....scary beast...but it could probably zip up a 1 tonne bail in short order...just watch you fingers...

He used to use it to chop straw for fungi.....

and would zip a bale of straw in a few minutes...
