Is there a way for a pump to only turn on when a container is full?

Like, some kind of sensor that would only turn the pump on when enough water has drained into the container.

I think I've seen something of the sort used with air conditioners.

Thanks.

They have ones that have a piggy back plug. That plugs into your outlet and on the back of that is where the pumps electrical cord plugs into.
