Looking good! Tomato cages are a good idea. They are going into my next flower run, because I'm sick of tying all the branches together and using yo-yos from the ceiling. The buds get so heavy towards the end. What week of 12/12 is this?

CHecked my cloner today and seems its doing its job so far.
I got roots and nubs on maybe 1/3. I also made a mistake in that I tossed three really wilted ones the morning after and left a couple to see what would happen. Seems after 36 hours they popped up like a jack n the box.

Root Porn: This is not even the fastest or best one, it just happens to be the closest to me when i grabbed the camera.

just checking in Boyd.

Moar like stem porn, but that is OK. I appreciate your irrational exuberance!

You never did say what kind of water etc.. that you are using.

Been real busy working. Got my 2 baby dolls for the weekend.

Day 1 week 3 12/12
'Mater cages are working out nicely. the girls are starting to fill them in.
It looks like Ill need a second cloner cause theres some sucker branches at the bottom not getting enough light. I hate to waste anything and I think moar clones is never a bad idea to have on hand.

Since its my first grow , I have no idea which pheno will rise to the top of the class.
Is it #7, the sativa leaning , tall and skinny one ? is it #4 , the squat, fat bellied one ?

The herijuana appears to me its gonna harvest much sooner than the sk's as well.
Im disapointed its only grown to 16 inches tall, but its easy to manage and its supposed to be the stronger potency of the 2. All I can see is the leaves are coated with sugar already.

I think Ima go another week on my nute solution. I tried to up the ppms on a couple buckets and they just aint eating it , they want a 600 ppm and thats that.

They drink about a half gallon of water a day atm.

Im learning to be patient. I realized I dont have to record my data every day, but it was fun to come home after work to do so. So all I do is check the water levels daily and train them into the cages. Once they get below 2 gallons in the buckets , I do the data input and add nutes as necessary. Its more work to get the equipment and set up the room than it is to just let them grow.

They seem to prefer their ph at 6, cause thats always where they sit after a day or two.
Im not going to maintain them daily for 5.8 cause I think thats where they like it.

Theres no signs of bugs in my garden, but the fan leaves will mutate and have small holes, missing parts of the edges or tips that never grow out fully. I cant figure out what the deal is , but I assume if theres a bug it would not be such minimal weirdness, but a devastating run through the whole garden. That and Id sse signs of them. Maybe the lights and humidity levels are are causing it. I would be far more concerned if the edges of these holes werent healthy and green, as opposed to brown and /or obviously nibbled on.Am I wrong in making assumptions like this? I suppose I could get some bug strips and see what they tell me.

Im liking the Lucas formula so far. I found out the hard way I need to just get the gallon of bloom tho. I never did the calculations on how much nutes it would take for a full grow, but now I know. Heading too the grow shop today for that gallon.

I think Im gonna neeed to get another large airpump soon, to handle two cloners and serve as a backup. I will stick to the 10Gal totes for the time being , but will keep an aero unit in mind for the future. If they survive the next week Ill need to decide what to do with them. I think I wanna run a perpetual harvest but need to work out a larger area. Im also thinking I want to do a full rdwc with just the herijuana after this harvest. Scrog it maybe, but since this pheno is such a tiny thing it may be pointless.

Thanks Tan G -
I just did some lolipopping on the 4 stars.
They will hopefully appreciate the work and I have new cuttings I need to clone. the cuttings are in water with some super thrive.

Meanwhile the cloner got two more airstones today on my last spare pump. Im gonna need to pickup another airpump for the moms who make the cut. I have to decide wether to plant in soil or get some bucket lids to do some multisite pre vegging. probably do both soil and dwc for shits and giggles.

My cloner is showing a few roots on some and none on others yet. Im hoping these things survive and get some roots the next few days cause I need to get these cuttings in there.

I just checked the girls this morning and they look like they grew 2-3 inches overnight.
Im guessing this its whats called the stretch? The clearing out of the bottom side seems to be well recieved cause all the remaining branches just stretched way out.

The heri looks amazing , its like the buds doubled in size last night. I did no lollipopping to her as shes spread wide open and very short.

Heres some Legs shots:

Lovin this Thread

think I was a little sad that I got to the end so quickly, great work subbed and in eager anticipation of the continuing saga.
just quick question, how many days in total from germination, through veg, then into flower and so far in total?

Small Update:
Ive been folowing the gospel of snype for this grow , as you may know.
Ive been taking my data every 2-3 days now and after readng and rereading his feeding guide, Ive realized Ive been doing it wrong.
Seems Ive been recording data but not quite enough. in addition , I think I understand now how to tell what to feed my plants.
Been keeping these at 600ppm ish mostly the whole grow.
well, I think some of these girls might be hungrier than I thought. They arent showing any deficiencies mind you, but They been trying to tell me I need to bump them up to about 800ppm.
So tomorrow before I flush them , Ima figure out what to feed on week 4.
The girls have grown another 2 inches since the lolipopping took place, the main colas are taking on that characteristic look now.
I also took some more clones, this time Im trying the rockwool method.
The cloners cloning along too, I have roots on about %50 now and more on the way.
I noticed one of the clones just before it got wilted bad, checked the ph and it was 6.3, so I brought it down to 5.8 and it bounced right back in 12 hrs. Also, it was slighlty off smelling yesterday morning, so i added a bit of chlorine and it cleared up the smell within hours.

When I first started hydro, I did everything like that. Meaning, "well, it's week 4 in veg, so let me mix this exact ratio of x, y, z"

That pretty much went out the window when I started perpetual, because I have plants of all ages sharing the same res/food.

I went with Lucas Formula using GH Micro/Bloom and it's been great.

Girls go into veg, they get about 700-800ppm of Lucas
Girls go into flower, then get about 700ppm of Lucas

Pretty hard to beat for the laziness factor, and I haven't seen any problems since switching from the GH "expert recirc" feeding schedule.

My small plants can tolerate a lot of nutes. I don't know why. I've had veg nutes approach 2.0ec (or more) and not even have tip burn, or rams horns.

You know , I totally DERP'd
Im in week 4 of flower - was going through my data and saw it.
Thats means Ill prolly miss my 4/20 harvest date - but I may have some luck on the herijuana, its supposed to be a 7-9 week strain.

HarvestMoon:
Im resisting the urge to try this or that atm. Im not trying to overanalyze or throw in some carbs or sugars or this fancy crapinabottle. What I am doing is sticking to the lucas this first grow. Im not going to worry with an rdwc this harvest , and if im feeling froggy , I might try some floranectar on ONE bucket and leave the others alone as a control, next round.

I may do a multisite bucket with 2- 4 clones in a couple weeks (prolly this weekend tbh) , as these clones start to get bigger, just to have another small harvest on the way. And to see what a sog setup my look like.

Just gonna experiment really. Nothing Fancy.

My wife gave me the go ahead for our walk in closet. Its 4x6x7 and I figure I could get a 3x6 workspace in there this weekend. Gonna see if theres some white paint in the basement, else I need to pick some up.

The girls will appreciate the extra 5 feet of area and the headroom to grow vertically. and thatll mean I now have a 12.5 sqft veg room for my new moms. Woot!

So what Im gonna do is transplant the two strongest clones of each pheno to soil pots. the remaining clones will get either a bucket or a tote to try a sog or two. Then , if my rockwool clones are succesfull , Ill have even more materials to work with.
