New Digital Power Meters

Here in the SE United States, they are beginning to install new digital power meters, which seem to have pros, ie. they read it from the street (no more keeping the dogs inside on meter day), and more accurate billing. But being as paranoid as I am does anyone else think that theese new meters are capable of recording peak usage, and patterns (such as that made by the 12/12 light cycle).

I think with a digital meter their idea is getting a more accurate reading.
And with these new digital meters.
I think they would be more interested in trying to see if the meter had been removed and replaced with a dummy.
For a few weeks of each month.
Others have said they will be able to turn features on as needed.
So if they wanted to see if there was a 12/12 peek time with the new digital meters I think it is a feature they can turn on or off as needed.
I will look forward to more detailed info on these meters when available.

as long as the bill gets paid, there is no reason for the power company to srutinize your account.

by the way, welcome to the 21st century!!hehe
