A ghost story

Nice photos and colors and all that but does it get you HIGH? Try growing Zamaldelica if you want to check out from reality. I have many plants that are now 16 weeks in the flower room and show no signs of giving up the ghost. This material reminds me of the KW (killer weed) we used to get in the early 70's.

Yes all of them will definitely get you high :D. My friends love to smoke on my weed for its high potency and insane taste. I don't really get high anymore due to my extreme tolerance. But as a medical user I'm not really trying to get high anymore. I mostly select for the smell and taste, sometimes for the colors. I can't do any THC/CBD tests where I live but I haven't really had weed that I'd consider a lot higher than my stronger selections. I compare my selections to stuff I smoked/vaped in Amsterdam and in Seattle, Washington (where I got some tested product from dispensaries).

The cover crop and companion plants are starting to bloom, these flowers attract beneficial insects (see pictures below)

Cheesy Rider (2017 | Karma Genetics | from seed | selected phenotype)

The fungus in my soil is starting to decompose the leaves I removed a while ago. Fungal activity is a good sign for healthy soil and an important source for nutrients and feeds the microbes. Seeing this diversity of life in my garden makes me and my plants very happy.

IPM (Integrated Pest Management)
Look at the mites, they are the good kind. Pest have no chance in my garden. These mites roam in my garden without my interference, I don't remove them and I didn't put them there. They love the environment and love my cover crop and companion plants, so they just stick around and protect my plants from evildoers. They are my superheroes fighting villains and protection the city. :dance013:

Getting a haircut is so important. Just cause I'm a hippie doesn't mean my plants are :).
The cover crop was cut and a new generation has been sowed. The cuttings from the cover crop were then shredded and added as mulch.
I also did a defoliation, shredded the removed leaves and added them as mulch.
The branches were tucked under my makeshift trellis. I love using these foamy wires to create some kind of netting instead of adding a fixed trellis (at this stage of growth). It allows easy adjustment and can be modified or extended pretty easily.
Then I added some mycorrhiza and different bacterial compounds and gave them a small spray of water to allow the mycorrhiza & bacterial powders to settle in.

Frost baby. I'm really excited about this one since the first test was harvested early (due to late addition in my flower room in the previous run)

The veg room is doing great too. The plants loved the defoliation and jumped right back. It was time to repeat the process (defoliate and tie down)

before the next defoliation:

Random fun stuff:

I grow some peyote (lophophora williamsii caespitosa) aside my babies and saw this happen today. There are a ton of heads that popped up beneath the pot too (soil gathered there due to the holes in the pot), so I moved the pot to the side to see if the heads start to develop into a small culture.

As you can see the cactus and shroom are both very happy. :dance013:

I never knowingly inoculated this pot, so this was a real surprise to me today. It seems to be a Lepiota lutea (yellow parasol)

After a small reset of my mom and baby rooms (the mom room still needs to cleaned, the floor is nasty and the fans collected quite some dust)

The unsexed Afghani had some discoloration on a few leaves so I did a strong defoliation about a week ago. It's not really vigorous and the discoloration is coming back (coupled with leaves twisted to one side). It's hard to say for sure but it might be a form of virus (TMV/HMV) so I put it aside for now. I might kill it within the next few days since it doesn't look too good.

The G13 Haze has been removed from my cultivar. I was really unhappy with the last two grows. The yield was horrible, the bud structure extremely fluffy (trimming that bitch was horror). It had a nice taste but not special enough to keep it around. I put the last harvest into the freezer (without drying) and will make some bubble hash from it (not expecting anything special here).

I need more space for my Cinderella99 and Bruce Banner but can't add a new room for them. Looks like I need to get rid of some genetics, since it's getting really crowded considering my rather small setup. It's just really hard to make a choice.

My NYC Diesel is one of the better yielding strains and has little to no issues in general but might be the next one to go unless I find someone who wants to keep a mom around. It's such a tough decision though.

I need to keep the new genetics (Rolex OG) around for a while before I can send them to flower (3 months from now). Maybe I can add a small room just for drying (currently using the flower tent after harvest) which would allow faster cycles and more flexibility with the genetics. I could really use a second flowering room though.

Here's a ranking of my genetics (by personal preference).

Rated

1. Kali Mist #1 (amazing taste, great yield)
2. Cheesy Rider #2 (amazing taste, bad yield)
3. Skunk No.1 (good taste, great yield)
4. White Widow (good taste, great yield)
5. NYC Diesel #2 (good taste, great yield)

Unrated

Rolex OG #1
Rolex OG #2
Chemist #2 (currently in flower, to be rated soon)

Sadly my White Widow mom started showing signs of sickness a few weeks after I threw out all leftover clones of her. I kept her around but she's basically dead now ~~RIP~~. I won't reveg the flowering one, so this will be her last run and it will be a great one.
