its a 15 minute walk from my family's house. I kept it simple and just have a nice tv and leather loveseat and a bed, it's a 1 br. Its very clean.
The thing is, when I pictured myself getting a place I didn't realize I would miss this place and want to come back. I come back every day though, and have only slept in my new place maybe twice now. Its very lonely and I don't see street traffic, all I can do is watch tv and smoke weed. Not going to pay $100 for internet on top of what I already do. The rent is only 275 and its in a building but Im not paying for internet. I want to move back home. Theres nothing to do at the new place. No people, no animals, no noise out on the street, it sucks.
Does anyone live in a building? What do you do all day? My balcony faces north I think, I only get the afternoon sun. What to do. Very bored and lonely there.

275 rent????? damn that's cheap...even renting a room here is like 450$$$... get a signal booster for your computer ,,maybe there is free access if you check....I get 2 strong wireless signals for free.....why don't you go outside an do something.....I spend almost as much time outside as I do inside...maybe more sometimes

LOL @ homeless woman, maybe that is his only choice; shit, with internet he could at least check out porn and spank it without his mom knocking on his door calling him for tea time lol...

Damn, at $275 in Boston I don't think I'd wanna hang around there much either. Maybe go outside & play? Read a book? Work?

Its in your head. You have an opportunity to create some
new routines. Embrace the differences and make choices that are
your own.

In a short time you can look back at your old routines and build upon that
with your new routine.

Seems like you're on the right path, visit with your family and talk
about your feeling lonely. They will surely offer good advise,
along with a hot meal and a game night too. Enjoy the time with
your family, and learn to enjoy your time alone. They are in your
heart after all, so you're never truly alone.

You will decide that being alone is different than being lonely.

it's neither but you're getting close - I live in a senior citizen building! It's all utilities included. Old people are lonely man, I don't even really see them. I'll take some pictures after I get a new tablet. I slept at the family house last night. Still here. Been smoking hash - haven't had any since I was in Amsterdam in 2000. Hash rules.

D.B, can I ask how old you are?

I'm trying to think of any benefits of living in a seniors building.

No noise from neighbors? Fastest response time for ambulances?

Knowing exactly what the strange smell in the building is.

275 seems crazy cheap, I'm always suspicious of services or items that I can't see how they can make a profit on.

"he's in the bedroom now, I hear a bubbling noise, now he's in the living room"

no it's not like that, it's pretty cool/laid back

I stayed at the new place last night. Smoked hash, not a peep. Safe to say smoking weed isn't a problem there.

Wondering if I can spend the extra $100 for internet or just use a tablet and coffeeshops. OR, get that new Netzero

That's an uber deal for rent, but I guess the downside would be it's an old folks home...maybe an upside if you could get to know some of them and smoke them out..lol, I dunno.

It would be funny if you just played old tunes like Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett..that way you could hide your movement and they wouldn't hear you getting baked :)

Just a note of caution for apartment smoking, but you probably know....weed smoke goes through vents pretty fast, put some fabreeze dryer sheets or something up in those vents so they don't smell it.
