Really beautiful WM. Thanks for sharing :D

I used to grow the standard giants. Much more plain than that beaut right there.

Peace,

Love it WM.

I’ve landscaped with local natives and it brings me, and our fauna, great joy over the years.

Peace

I planted a few types....the "Mammoth" and multi headed heirloom variety called "Chocolate".

Love those more colorful varieties you planted. I'm going to need to plant some of those next year. Saving seed from all of these too, in hopes of planting a few raised beds full of them and maybe a small field.

i have to use ropes to fix them like towers. from 3 directions to make it kind of stable,

one of the multi-headed has more than 16 heads,

wind + their weight = laydownflower

I like sunflowers too.

The fields were in South Dakota and were probably planted on several thousand acres.

Took a few heads from the Mammoth's. Plenty of seeds for me, the critters, and next year crop.

i am not sure when are the seeds ready to save for next year. i usually let them as long as possible on stem, and i put a potato sack on the heads to prevent birds to eat all
