Magnifying glass for pests inspection ??a

Hi guys. Was just wondering how powerfully my magnifying glass should be to be able to see mites or other pests. I have a 25X that I got for looking at preflowers. Is that powerfull enoug?
Thanks

I think even a 40x is not enough for mites and stuff if you don't know what you're looking for. Try getting one of the 60-100x lighted magnifiers off amazon. They look like a little black rectangle and they're under $20. Fantastic, but you have to use it on a flat surface to get a good view, so you'd have to take a small cut of a leaf to examine it further.
