IMO collection, past its prime?

This only sat a few days but theres some colorful and dark molds on here. Anyone with some expertise in this area care to chime in?

your IMO1 could have used some more time and def shows a lack of colonization and diversity however if your just practicing go ahead and take any of the colonized chunks and mix 1:1 with brown sugar and you have IMO2 !

some tips for the next collection

cook your rice about 2/3 keeping a semi hard texture (this is to allow air to more easily circulate)

only fill your porous box 2/3 of the way

try to find a location that hasn't been touched in awhile but still is healthy ...bamboo stands and wild jungle banana trees is where i collect
