Mr nice NL5xHaze looks too hazy compared to the Hybrid look from the 80's version.

Last I've seen, Sensi still has a good version but requires deep digging, so if you're a millionaire go at it.

Or You could be like some of us and cross a Neville's haze to a good heavy Indica/WLD.

Have you tried Sensi’s version recently? I was wondering if still good.

A rookie grower friend grew some really nice stuff from a Sensi pack back in the late 90’s. Her first grow ever in hydro with no flush and still a nice smoke. A lot of talk about Sensi not being the same though

One related that I thought looked interesting is The 90’s Haze from Connoisseur

I found sssdh to have hazier phenos than 90s haze. 90shz is more middle of the road in effect. Sssdh Way way lower yields than nl5hz tho.

Sssdh one of my fav smokes ever really. We had a trippy sssdh pheno, strong but didnt keep it.

I tried sterling haze from nirvana, not trippy but good yielder for sure.

Don't know what MNS NL5 Haze is, but I doubt it is still the real thing. I have still 1 pack from ca. 2010 and for me they are a waste of time.

I grew one Swami NLHz and got a high that I did not like. I think too indica as Swami breeds towards that.

OP says he wants to explore the trippy side of NL Hz ...

Looks too Hazy ? WTF ??

I grew some Mr NL Hz about 10 years ago . Big yield , strong as but stoney if you over indulged .Leather / meat terpenes . Didn`t see very Hazy phenos . But I only grew a half dozen .

If this thread was 10 years ago I'd say the sativa pheno in Sensi. It was different. I'm not sure there is one in the current product:

Don't know how it smokes, but a similar sister was nothing special. But the old indisat and especially indica pheno wasn't either for me.

I was just on Swami site and it’s shows 2 different versions. An indica and a sativa, so if you want something trippy the sativa may be the way to go.

There's a 90's NL5xHaze being offered by a seedbank, will order some and let you know which one it is(because it may be low stock).

Cheers

I have only seen this tread now, you should try nirvana sterling haze aka nl x haze...
I think it's one of the most underrated strains, but at the moment it grows like twenty years ago, very dominant sativa (certainly more than the more expensive versions)

NL5 x Haze is a strain based on AWESOME psychedelic Sativa, tamed down so it can be grown indoors + add on some resin with the Indica NL5.

There are lots of strains that have the same or a similar mix.

e.g. TH Seeds, SAGE, Sativa Afghani Growth Experiment.

They did not pick a lame Sativa for their Sativa.

Another option is World of Seeds, they have native Indica's & Sativa's so you can mix your own Sativa - Indica mix.

But NL5 x Haze may be 50 50 on the surface, but the Haze makes it more Sativa.

I actually bought Sensi NL5 x Haze in 1990 from the Seed Bank. had it sent to a PO box in Pacific Beach California.

I lost about 5 seeds growing in buckets in a park, real stupid, not stealth.

But they worked out real well for me indoors, with a 430 watt "Son Agra".
