First run with Veg+Bloom DOS - Interesting deficiencies...

Have some several varieties about 5 weeks into flower that have started to show some wierdness. Each one appears unique.

Using veg+bloom DOS for the first time, their dosing instructions sucked ass (not the stuff online).

They suggested adjusting the end pH by bringing pH on SHINE up, which I think was a total mistake. In order to get right pH had to put a ton of pH up in the SHINE and it kept precipitating.

Eventually decided to dilute SHINE solution about 2 weeks ago and adjust dose, still had some falling out. This week installed a stirrer to keep it all together. Seems to be sticking together, also further in the cycle to less alkalinity required to bring it all up.

Think will need to install an acid doser for the next run to avoid this issue.

SHINE is basically micronutrients. So assuming its some sort of compound micronutrient issue is going on.

Any suggestions welcomed.

hi Mrfriskles, what dosing instructions are you following? and what medium are you in?

i was looking into their DOS formula and from recommended application rate it looked like it is low in magnesium, just simply looking at printed NPK. i think the best way is to send your nutrient solution to get analyzed to the lab. it will give you better idea what is missing.

Shine is a PK booster 0-22-11

I am personally interested in V+B DOS formula. wonder if anybody else has an experience using it?

Veg + Bloom DOS is new 2 part formula made to be able to run with dosatrons. You can't mix original formula to a concentrated stock solution - it will fall out of suspension. But you can do it with DOS. Calcium is separated to Part A from the rest.

That's strange their website doesn't show anything new.

Considering magnesium is the most highly variable in need for cannabis, it's good they put it so low. The reason your plants are reacting differently is this varying need for magnesium by each strain.

Add a half a gram/gallon of a quality epsom salt (magnesium sulfate), for the next 2-3 feedings, then see where they're at. :) *facepalm* Do not do this with ones you're close to harvesting, let those go. Adding mag at this stage of flower will run the risk of crackling/popping cannabis when burned. heh

cal mg from the looks of it more mg than anything watch check ph
Unless you're also seeing a nitrogen and calcium deficiency... you'll see better results and terpier flowers with epsom salt. Magnesium and an extra kick of sulfur. ;)
