Agreed, I think you hit that one right on the money Bree. Thanks for your posts (here and other thread). It's interesting that several people have made the arguement that "Prop 215 and SB420 only help you once you're in court!!" well, what's wrong with this? The purpose of the executive branch (sir po-lice) is to enforce the law. While they may abuse their power a bit in this regard just to get a conviction, they're mearly enforcers (hence we, well I, don't care for them haha). The judicial branch of government is where you redeem your rights and where the law is interpreted. Wouldn't you rather have a judge interpreting the law rather than the police? Prosecutors are not part of the judicial branch so you still have to be careful of them, haha. Anyway.. point being.. whether protection is offered in court, or on the street, the protection is approximately the same.
