I use baby-mild (unscented) which replaces the lav. oil with an increase of olive oil.
I've been reading that people use it effectively as a spreader up to 15ml/gallon (1TBS), and I've had enough spread with 3ml/L. So yeah thats about the right number. I just kept adding until it spread and soaked in. So I can +1 on the 1TBS/gallon. Just wanted to share that! -Kweku |

But I guess what I'm saying is, 2/3 of what people seem to use as their application rate was the MINIMUM I could find to get an even spread. Maybe people use more for pest related reasons, but I wasn't. Bottom line, 2tsp/gallon works for me, and 1TBS(3tsp) doesn't harm the plants.
My 2¢... I just like sharing when there's a conservational opportunity, like using SLIGHTLY less Bronner's... LOL! I'm considering using citrus/orange Bronner's on citrus strains, lavender on some sweeter/floral strains and see if some of these essential oils impart an enhanced flavor... Maybe? Final answer: Save that extra teaspoon of Bronner's! It will spread with less!!! ![]() -Kweku Ananse |

Dr. Bronner Castle Soap is what you want! but it's expensive..
And if you live in a small town it can be very difficult to find... Murphy's Oil Soap is an excellent substitute... and you can usually find it at Dollar General stores... I wouldn't use anything except these two products....2 tablespoons of MOS mixed with 1 quart of water will also smother every aphid on your outdoor tomato plants!
