Probably look to the EU.

HAH. Sorry. Hehe. No I'm not.

Been circulating around the cesspit lately. I'd be tempted to say someone over there reads the forums, but given the modus operandi of IG users, that's dangerously close to research. Shit like that'll get you tarred and feathered in the Kingdom of Duncecaps.

Believe Bubbleman said it first and the regurgitators are in a panick to think how they're supposed to. Most fail to (or even try) to understand or explain concepts that can't fit in one tweet, but a biased meme, that is "droppin' knowledge bombs".

Now, I see both sides. Some of my best rosin was a dark peanut butter. Sweet Skunk crossed with some malarkey. Made fantastic spliffs. Some lighter extracts can have little flavour, others are a sloppy mess of terpenes, and I'll be the first to cuff some IG nit about the head for suggesting all darker extracts are "poop soup". The variation is the spice.

But it sums up IG. Subjective. Mob mentality. Partial truth respun into a pile of nonsense.

I'm pretty fucking tired of the image uploading. Why do portrait camera shots switch to landscape, but portrait sized screen shots are good to go (albeit impossible to read without clicking on it).

Anyhow. Immature harvests are rather easy to spot, even if you're just buying flower and trim, or under contract, say, like a lot of these knobs (collabs, they call it). Low melt small heads don't exactly perform the same as larger mature ones, as sift, bubble or rosin.

Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle.

I ran ONE test tonight. Drunk, stoned and stupid...... and this is the ONE and ONLY success I have had filtering.

Drunk, I forget the temperature setting and let the plates get to 250F. Enough to melt it, for sure.

Stoned, I was unable to complete any complex tasks and just folded the edges over once. No special origami lessons required.

This is the most amazing success I have had yet.

I'm going to try this again tomorrow when I'm just stupid.

The best news is that I have a zillion yards of this left over. I traded some guy named Jack for some magic beans I had. What a sucker.

I pressed this so hard, the rosin bled through the parchment but the filter still didn't rupture.

Call me Doctor fucking Boom.

Try a prepress of some sort. The colour looks great but those corners and the puck look oily.

Cheapest one I saw was someone's kids Lego.

I did a pre-press but my pucks are round so it didn't fit the square bag well. And, I think I have room for a little more volume. I use 2 gram pucks. I may try a couple 3 gram presses.

I just finished some TLC tests and I am getting ready to go test this silk screen stuff. One thing I noticed is that I didn't loose everything in the filter like I always do. In fact, other than what you said, and is obvious, the yield didn't seem like less.

I am going to press 10 grams. That usually gets me about 1 gram. We'll see what I loose in the filter.

I also thought about the food grade aspect of this silk screen stuff. I use this rosin for edibles so I'll be eating whatever this silk screen material leaves behind.

I suppose after all the liquor I've drank and all the pussy I've eaten I shouldn't really be worrying about ingesting a little silk screen remains but... I'm a health freak now.

I'll be back in a while with whatever results.

Might be able to wrap it like the "bottle tech", more gift wrap in your case. Probably be a pain in the ass to fit between plates.

Well, I am impressed (with myself).

Just so I could have some kind of base line, I did everything just like I always do. I pressed 5, 2 gram pucks. Same pot, same temp. I even over-pressed like I too often do.

I ran one at 210F and the rest from there to 240F. Just like I usually do. I like the range of wax to sticky/shatter. I don't like shattery/shatter.

Collected the same.... just everything.

Yield... 1.1 grams. Actually, a little better than without the filters. LOL

I can definitely still see some stuff on the filters but I can always see stuff left over on my chips without filters, anyway.

I love chips for edibles. Must have something to do with the "Flash Decarb" they get during pressing and then a full decarb when I make butter.

Wow, it's always the best better I make. Way better, always.

Which is why I don't bother second pressing. It leaves me yummy for butter and, I never get shit from second press, anyway.

I did do a second press on a stack of these filter chips tonight but, as usual, I got almost nothing.

So, I'm pretty happy. The rosin is pretty and clean and everything but it's not that different than what I pressed without the filters (less a few chucks). Making the bags is a PITA so I may or may not do this often

Couple questions.

The silkscreen I used equates to 133 microns. Is that a good size. I have others to try.

And, sometimes when I over-press (again, too often) the rosin will actually bleed through the parchment and end up on both sides of the parchment (and the plates :( ). Does that happen to you, guys?

Hey gang, I have been having a problem since this turd hunt started and I don't see anyone else having the problem.

I occasionally have rosin that bleeds through the parchment on some presses.

At first I thought it was from pressing too hard but it doesn't always happen and sometimes it happens on lighter presses so I don't think it's pressure.

Anyway, like I said, it's usually right around the edge of the squished puck and it's usually just spots around the perimeter of the puck footprint.

I'll take a pic if that's not clear.

I am using Kirkland Signature parchment. I just bought some Regency to try.

Any one else having bleed through?

Thanks
