Would a one liter hempy be big enough to sex plants in?

Thinking about using 32oz dart foam cups as mini hempy buckets to grow plants out till they show their sex. Would that be too small? Final container will be 3 gallon hempys. If 1L is too small I can double it up by flipping one cup upside down and jamming it into the mouth of another cup. The top cup has it's bottom torn off and 3 little 1" wide tabs snapped off the top rim. With the tabs broken out it fits tightly in the other cup then with gorilla tape wrapped around I have basically a Styrofoam vase. I've made such a vase before with soil grows and they always work pretty good and when transplanting I just pinch the bottom off. Thnx for any info on how big they need to be and fyi these are indica dominant hybrids.

1 Liter is fine.

You can actually take cuttings, poke them through floating styrofoam, and put them under a cardboard box with a light on 12/12 for 2 weeks. No need for a full on grow, as long as you have the light leaks taken care of. A healthy cut will show sex and root before dying, even in plain water. Change the water daily.

Sounds great man as soon as they grow some side branches at least 5" long or so I'll chop em off and sex them under 12/12. Though tbh by the time that happens most my strains will be big enough for preflowers to show. Tyty

If you veg a month to a month and a half they show pre-flowers. I'd use 12/12 for full runs. That way you get to judge the full flowered buds.

I usually veg at least 6wks and quite often even double that under 24/0 since potency/yield are better if they have time to mature. I always keep 12/12 throughout the whole flower cycle I prefer them to get all the time they need. This time around I want to make a clone mother or two so I'm gonna take clones right before they flower and keep whichever ones come from the best plant in the end.

I've actually gotten lazy a few times in the past and left them in 20oz hempy cups till they were over a foot tall and started showing preflowers. It worked but they usually didn't have much in the way of side shoots and branches and I've always wondered if that was from the small root mass. This time I'll run half in 1L hempy cups and the other half in 2L composite vases like I was talking about earlier and see if one produces better results then the other. Thnx for the help man

Nice glad to hear that I've been thinking I was torturing them by keeping them in such small containers. I love my foam cup hempys transplanting is so easy just pinch off the bottom and jam them in the new container no stress to the plant at all. Thnx everybody getting ready to start a new run soon after losing the last one to broad mites and have been cleaning my room for nearly 2mo afterwards. I hate those lil gremlins more then anything on earth and wish for nothing but pain and death to their kind. Had to ditch everything and will be out of smoke for 5mo.....gonna be a really dry painful summer

Oh yeah man they got me good I've had thirps before but they are farts in wind compared to broad mites. Had two 8sq ft cabs that were completely full of happy ladies and after it was all said and done I think I pulled down a quarter ounce. Tried using heat treatments, big time exterminator, green cleaner but in the end just tore everything down. Most say starving them to death is the only real way to be rid of them so my rooms been empty for 4wks and starting back up in 2wks or so. Stripped my cabs down to the frames and am relining them with 7mil panda film. Ditched my old soil and bleached down all surfaces. I had a thread back in February where a lot of people responded and gave me a lot of help but in the end the buds were too badly damaged and plants too weak so I put them out of their misery and started cleaning.

If they somehow survive almost 2 months of not having any living hosts to feed on I might hit the room with a flame thrower or set off a dirty bomb.
That or maybe sacrifice a couple goats and bring the wrath of God down on em
