High Bay/UFO LED Light for horticulture.
I was about to purchase a few cob leds to build a diy cob light system but then came across a UFO/High Bay LED 4000k 200w that was around 50 dollars cheaper that the diy cob system.
i have seen some companies selling these as grow lights, but have not seen any reviews on those products. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with these lights.

It's a shame there's no one out there will have tried this yet. They look promising and you can buy a high bay with 120°, 90° and 60° been angle with a choice of colour temp. Some come with a few years guarantee. The fact they are industrial lighting means they would be good for long hours being switched on and one of them looks very much like what spektrumking make (but they argue that they have better quality materials)
I think if you bought a best quality unit with a good name and guarantee it would be a good gamble. Hps is just tweaked industrial lighting anyway. I also think these led high bay would be good for vegging mostly and keeping mothers but they would probably be good for flowering also. Plants photosynthesise almost any light. |
