Greetings,
Previously, I had told a story about seeing a friend that I had not seen for 15 years, who still had a cutting of Wicked Weed before my crosses with it to Burmese and Train Wreck. These crosses added to the line, in my opinion. The fact that my friend kept that old version of Wicked Weed for so long is a testament to that particular cutting. Unfortunately, I lost that cutting last summer before breeding it. However, another friend used a Bangi Haze x Nepal Jam male to make seeds from it. I grew a lot of Nepal Jam and Bangi Haze x Nepal Jam and did not find good enough results to continue this line. What I remember about that Bangi Haze used in the Nepal Jam cross was a one and only spicy body odor / liquorice chemotype. All others were variations/mixes of lemon, floral, and menthol. I named the spicy one, my Fat Leaf Bangi Haze. I mention this because the most pungent child of the old version of Wicked Weed crossed to Fat Bangi x Nepal Jam was a spicy / liquorice chemotype. Here is a picture of the old Fat Leaf Bangi Haze: The best smoke report of the Fat Leaf Bangi Haze plant was from someone who did not like it because it made her too anxious. Then she said "I'll give you this, I made extract from it and it was the most potent extract I ever made". My friend who grew the old Wicked Weed cutting crossed to the spicy Fat leaf Bangi Haze x Nepal Jam reports that the best one is very strong. He does not like it for the first 2 hours because it is too intense. He likes it after it starts to taper off and he "can handle it". His friend tells him that it tastes so good that after the first hit, he wants more, but then it is too much. I used a male from my current generation Bangi Haze x Wicked Weed to pollinate my friend's Old Gen. Wicked Weed x Fat Leaf Bangi Haze x Nepal Jam. My choices of Bangi Haze were the floral chemotypes. In summary, I am now growing 3 seedlings of this cross: Old Wicked Weed x (Spicy Fat Leaf Bangi x Nepal Jam) X Bangi Haze (floral) x Current Gen. Wicked Weed I do a lot of outcrossing, but I also do a lot of incestuous backcrossing and cousin breeding. ThaiBliss

Been thinking of grabbing the southern stars Gold Rush. Could definitely be a trippy strain. Anyone try this one as yet?

I've only grown a single seed of Gold Rushes stablemate Nanan-Bouclou which turned out male and it was such a beautiful plant I kept its pollen and open pollinated three female of different hybrid strains with it. I agree it would be good to get some reports of Gold Rush.

I was reading a recent list of 'psychedelic' strains online and it lists stuff like ghost train haze, strawberry cough, super siler haze etc.. I've not tried these. Are they? Just hype? What's the difference between these kind of strains and a zamaldelica?

(65%thc, 0%cbd, $20/gr) has a far more spacey than racy effect. pretty ho-hum IMHO. (click pic to engorge) i spread a bit on the plenty vaporizer's concentrates pad and went at it... the nicer effect (IMHO) comes from a cartridge of casey jones... has a nice musky citrus from the sour diesel side, but the effect is more from the trainwreckxThai side. one of the nice things about growing in a legal state is that you can buy some items to tide you over, while allowing your homegrown the courtesy of a proper cure. cheers

Strawberry coughs can be too strong. And trippy. Grown poorly it maintains strawberry and lacks the bottle rocket trip into coughing space |
