I'm not giving up my semi pistols or rifles, they are mine...I paid for them legally.

Another old law someone should consider bringing back the old assault weapons ban. Instead of taking hissyfit positions on both sides. You can still have your Gatling gun if you go through the process anyways.

emotions run strong on this, but i don't see bloody revolution in the cards(yet)
take NY and its SAFE act some semis are deemed assault and must be registered, you can't buy new ones was there blood in the streets? none that i've seen and this is how it works, other states are aware of how things played out and use this info in future decisions

Let me be clear I am not advocating for armed resistance. Just stating my thoughts on likely situations. I am advocating for the rights of law abiding citizens, so these potential situations don't have to happen. |

The best way to stop a bad guy with a gun is five good guys with five guns. You can never have enough good guys with guns.
(RNN) – One school district in Pennsylvania has sidestepped the debate over arming teachers with firearms by arming teachers, instead, with buckets of rocks. “If an armed intruder attempts to gain entrance into any of our classrooms, they will face a classroom full of students armed with rocks and they will be stoned,” he said. Somebody is fucking stoned. Damn, how fucking stupid can people get! Burn1

This thread has taken a twisted turn in the road, no legal gun owners are breaking any weapons laws today as we speak...if restrictions or change is implemented then some may be on the wrong side of the law.
Many don't own guns, many don't want to own guns, many don't participate in in sporting/outdoor activities involving guns, many are afraid of guns, many don't understand guns,,,,be that as it may, law stands today on the side of legal gun ownership. To debate the moral ramifications and social "injustice" of gun ownership, is akin to what we as a community have fought against in relation to unfair weed laws. Personally I have no problem with "common sense" gun laws, but fear it won't stop there. We will give an inch, lose a mile...then wonder why we compromised on our rights. Gun ownership is an individual choice, one you can participate in or not...but a throng of children that don't vote, won't sway my beliefs...especially when 1 of the leaders has a Cuban flag on her arm, probably funded by a leftist group of bunny huggers. Change may be coming, restrictions might be stiffened, future generations may strive for a different world...but it's legal now, I needn't defend my right to own guns nor my intended use. |
