Was wondering how long it takes till 5-aminolevulinic acid (δ-ALA) will be marketed for cannabis... Whether their claim of being "the only product worldwide blabla" is true, I do not know but suppose it's not. Also, if it's an aqueous solution (is it liquid?), it's most likely degraded well before you take the bottle out of the shelf. Unless they use it's methyl ester or similar derivative which are somewhat less prone to degradation...
Here's a copy-paste from my notes regarding δ-ALA (notably, not your product but the active ingredient): Glutamate and α-ketoglutarate metabolite (in plants). Plant growth promoter, Fe dependent and rate limiting precursor in chlorophyll synthesis. Sometimes used as fertiliser especially during Fe shortage. Foliar application increases photosynthesis and CO2 fixation, reduces salt stress, and increases plant resistance under low-light, low temperature, and high salt conditions but shows no to marginal effects under optimal growth conditions. No feedback regulation -> supplementation with δ-ALA results in accumulation of downstream metabolites and causes phototoxicity above 1’000 ppm; 10 mM solutions may be used as herbicide! δ-ALA quickly degrades in water and under light-> dissolve directly before use! Attention, δ-ALA is a photosensitizer! Skin contact may cause irritation and lesions mainly after exposure to sunlight! Handle with care!

Interesting! This looks like another one of those plant "research chemicals" outside of traditional biostimulants like DA-6 and Atonik.
I just found a research paper that says Atonik is good: ![]() https://www.bio-conferences.org/arti...018_01009.html Last edited by BillFarthing; 03-31-2018 at 12:31 PM.. |
