Thanks Mr. and Mrs. BOG......
Cannot wait to get lifesaver going hard. The name of the strain alone is so fitting to my life right now...... about to blow some lids off here. ...in the meantime, any good lifesaver shots? Tips? Tricks? Would love to hear....

I've grown BOG's lifesaver indoors and outdoors; it seems to do well in both. Here's a few things I noticed with lifesaver.
1. The strain really handles nutrients well. I didn't have many issues with deficiencies or overfeeding. That being said, the plant responded very favorably to moderate-high doses of nutrients during flower. 2. Please do NOT chop this strain early. I had had to chop mine about a week early last season outdoors due to bad weather. This strain packs on weight up until the very last day. I'd recommend going the full 60 days of flower and perhaps even a little bit longer than that. Indoors I've taken lifesaver to 63 days and the quality and potency of the medicine was fantastic. When I was forced to chop early outdoors the quality and potency of the medicine was significantly diminished. 3. This strain responds very well to training. I'd recommend topping her at least once or twice. My plants didn't skip a beat when topped and continued growing like crazy. This strain is very good for its numbing effects. When I smoke lifesaver my teeth, head, and face become numb first then I begin to feel it in my hands and feet and gradually my entire body becomes numb. It's an excellent strain for aches/pains, migraines, and insomnia. I didn't find the strain to be a real knockout make you fall asleep instantly strain but it was incredibly relaxing which made it way easier to fall asleep. Hope that made sense... ![]() Here are a few pics from my outdoor season last year. If I can find some from previous indoor runs I'll add them as well. Please keep in mind this plant never reached its full potential and indoors the results were WAY better.

Have you started the Lifesaver yet?
Hi, Lone Wolf, have you popped the Lifesaver yet? I think you are in for a treat.
I grew her out when it was first released (around 2003). Grew 12 seeds and, incredibly, got 12 females! Most were grapey in smell and grew big fat buds (see Kaskadian's - nice buds, bro!). Most were typical indica types growing - fat leaves, short internodes and quick flowering (8 weeks average for most) and each had a strong indica high. One of them had leaves that turned purple and then black in the cold of fall - it looked spectacular with all that white resin gleaming through the black! But, the most special plant was perhaps the strangest. It grew like a sativa with thinner leaves and long spear shaped buds. It also smelled grapeish until smoked, then, it was straight outta Catholic church frankinsense! That one took a full 11 weeks to flower and was sativa like in growth and structure, but the high was so strongly indica - no one could stay awake past an hour! It was the strongest one of the bunch - truly, as BOG says, tooth numbing potency! I just found two packs of Lifesaver that I bought about ten years ago - I may have to coax a few to pop soon. There should be an outstanding plant in there and also in your seeds, no doubt. I look forward toward your grow. |
