The cheese clone I have is pretty good but like the sour d it seems to come out different every time I run it. When my friend runs it, it smells skunky, when I run it it smells like mashed up peas with a hint of skunk. It's pretty strong but it's not really on par with some of the other cuts I keep. My friend and I run the same nutes, same lamps etc but if you compared his on one side and mine on the other you would be sure it was 2 different plants.
I've been waiting for days to move some plants into my flower rooms but the weather isn't allowing me to make the 50' run from the basement to my shop, plus all my fences blew down so I'd prefer to do it at night. Despite being 100% legal I don't want my neighbors seeing me running around with 5' plants I have ready to flip. Guess I'm still hardwired to keep things on the down low.
Going to try and fix my camera sometime today. The battery cover won't stay shut so I have to hold it shut and tape it. I have one of G-man's Lucy x C99's that's just a bomb of a plant.

Yet another Masshole here, growing some Neville's Haze crosses that I obtained from MNS. I have four Grail Widow and two Neville's Haze Mango plants at 7+ weeks of 12/12 now. One grail Widow went completely hermie on me a couple weeks ago and was culled. I've pulled a couple nanners off of one of these plants (GW3) a couple days ago after one of our regular Noreasters took out the power and interrupted the light schedule. The other plants are solid. The Grail Widows are impressing me much more than the NHM. Makes me think GW and NHM use different Neville's Haze moms.

GW2. My favorite plant, foxtailing like crazy. I think this one's gonna go 14+ weeks.

GW3. Another beautiful hazey plant that will also probably go 14+ weeks.

GW7. I also have a clone of this plant flowering. The big yielder of the group...I anticipate over a half pound of dried buds from these two plants, probably in 12-14 weeks. Wonderful incense smell.

NHM2. Runt of the litter. Tiny buds but good resin production. The NHM plants smell sweeter than the Grail Widow plants.

NHM3. This is the only plant that's giving me problems, with browning and drying leaves.

Nice OCS. I can hardly believe someone in my own state actually grows an NLD. Bloody mystified! Still on lurk mode but the gardens are firing despite the cruel weather. I'm sort of dying to flip my OGBK 2.0 mom but the cold won't allow me to bring her up so she's just growing bigger and bigger everyday. With no camera and a flip phone I'm not posting much but I'm still @ 100%...

Hi OCS!
Those girls look very nice.
Has anyone revealed the pedigree on Shanti's grail lines? I mean obviously the name suggests yours is half widow, but has Shanti shared the rest of the pedigree?

Raho, I've got a pack of these lined up to be popped next (along with either NHM or ChemSisxNH). Per the MNS forums, Shanti's stated that the Grail Widow is a select Black Widow male x NH female. I'd imagine that if Shanti selected the NH female it's one of those 1 in 100(0) finds. Seems everyone that's grown it says its top notch.

Hey Stardog, I've admired the sativas and crosses you've grown and documented in this thread and assumed you were anywhere but Massachusetts, so I was equally floored to see someone as serious as you are about sativas growing in Massachusetts. I started growing a little over a year ago shortly after legalization - this is my 4th grow. I love sativas and would like to try growing them here in a greenhouse with light dep starting in early August. If my yard had a southern sun exposure I'd build a little hoop house and give it a try.

I think the Black Widow male that fathers GW is that same one Shanti uses to make Mango Widow and La Nina. I am of the opinion that the NH mum in the GW is a different one than used in NHM.

Here's what the MNS GW strain description says (my emphasis):

Quote:
This has been a long time coming! Finally the Grail has been made available, but as limited edition only. The Grail combines the strong particular spicy/earthy aromas of Haze with the fruity oniony aromas of the Widow family. This particular Haze female has dominated genetics top shelf strains since modern times and combining it with the original Widow male, makes for a mouthwatering experience and a mind blowing journey into a body high with a mind of clarity. This plant is not so difficult to get right but it definitely needs love and attention if you wish to get the Holy Grail of Stashesthere will be a need to cure the dried flower for 6 weeks to 3 months prior to smoking it you will understand!
If you carefully read the grow reports at MNS and compare the Grail Widow grows to the Neville's Haze Mango grows, the potency of the F1s seems to be significantly better and more consistent in effect for the GW plants compared to the NHM plants. My GWs are definitely bigger and more vigorous plants than my NHM plants, although my sample size is too small to be conclusive. My take is that the NH mom of GW is an old Dutch NH cut that Shanti got hold of. Not so sure about the NH that fathers the NHM.

My Mango Haze crosses are always the largest plants. Mango is a big plant. I crossed it to the very first OG Kush from many years ago, and that plant always leads the grow
