i like your thought about using a tent to have more control over the drying process
with a few simple parts i bet you could gain the control you want over the drying process
/this is probablly one of the most important steps in the grow! a bad cure/dry will ruin even the most dank weed
50' sounds like you guys are in the middle of a heat wave!
it about the same temp here, somewhere between high 40s and maybe topping out at 60'
we just had a bunch of rain this week so its probably going to get a little colder
its gymnastic season right now so the mrs is spending a lot of time doing that with the girl
dont let the toe injury get you down, brother
hopefully it gets better soon and you are able to get right back on track

hey p'fan
i hear you, i can be a serious kind of person too when i need to
like you said, the worst thing is when you feel like someone isnt giving you a good effort
its cool you are willing to give some dude a chance, but if he isnt going to step up,then why bother?
your deal sounds pretty standard, trim for x amount of time to get this
but it almost sounds like he is milking it
maybe if you paid by weight trimmed he would work faster?
its tough to deal with some people but keep your cool and maybe give him another chance
i hope he does better the next time you work with him
that is awesome your son is turning 5! that is a great age to be
happy birthday to your little buddy!
/are you guys going to have some kids over or go out someplace to celibrate?
Good afternoon pop_rocks.

All is well here and Rufus is doing great. He's getting a lot more grey hair in the face but still dances around when excited or wants to go out or be fed. I feel a little guilty that we have had to keep the walks short this week due to the pain in my toe, but I'm sure he understands.

Yes I've been thinking about using a tent for drying for a while now. My humidity is always a bit low, especially in the colder months, and if I had the air exchange fan cycle on and off I could slow the drying process down a little. I'd have to monitor it for a few hours and figure out how much on/off time but I'm sure it would work well. And to be able to filter the air would be nice, that way I could turn on the cloths dryer and not have the pot smell coming out the vent and risk my neighbors smelling it.

40-60 sounds really cold for southern Cali. I bet it's kind of refreshing to have the cool nights. I hope all is well with you and your family and the gymnastics is going great.

I found a pic on the internets yesterday that made me laugh and you migh get a kick out of. I think it's just ment to be fun and not at anyone's expense.

Update and pics

Good afternoon friends.

Time for a quick update. The girls in flower are doing well and really stacking the buds. I think it might be another good harvest coming up here in about a month. If the clones swell like the seed plants did they should be chunky. They are looking a bit more frosty this time too. The other thing that sticks out is that I have yet to find a single ball or nanner on the clones and I found quite a few on the same plants from seed. I have read that a seed plant that has intersex traits should show the same traits from clone. I'm not complaining and I hope that it's just not a case of my vision getting worse LOL.

those are some nice fat plants bro!
i especially like the trellising you have going on there!
the plants look nice and healthy, really green
what are your temps like right now?
one thing thats good about the colder months is that i can get than nice fade to the plants and see some really nice colors in the last few week of growth
certain plants will have color no matter what but ive seen even "lime green" plants turn purple with low temps
that pic is spot on,fiddy!
you can see the out of towners a mile away by the way they are dressed, or not dressed
the only thing wrong is that i dont even own a big puffy jacket like that
i have this sweet london fog number that keeps me warm in the cold or rain but its kind of light, nothing like the true goretex jackets that are rated to like 0 and below
glad to hear rufus is still dancing around and having fun, im sure he is in for a treat when the temps warm up and you guys get to take longer walks
/its funny how much something as simple as a toe can hurt so bad, but ive been there
being hurt sucks but give it time to get better and look forward to nicer weather to come

Good afternoon pop_rocks.

Yes these girls sure did get big in a hurry. They had a lot fewer leaves than anything I'd ever put in flower and I had been wondering if they had enough solar panels to get big fast but they had. All that twine is keeping these girls from flopping over and growing allondpg the ground like a vine, that's how floppy these girls are. It's working but not ideal for my grow style. Looking forward to growing some stronger plants next run.

I'm not sure on the temps I haven't looked in a while but spring and fall is the sweet spot for my lowest temps in the basement. In summer it's warmer, as it is in winter because my boiler is down there and all the hot water and hat heats the whole house runs through pipes down there. Maybe I'll get some color expression on this run we will see in a few weeks. I do like the purple coloration that I've seen in pics of plants finished in cool environments.

I'm glad you found the pic funny. I burst out laughing when I saw it because you had mentioned the cold snap there last week. I think I got rid of all my cold weather gear and boots when I moved to Cali and I don't remember it getting cold enough to need much of it up in Oakland. I think there were 3 or 4 morning that I saw frost on windscreens as I headed to work in the morning in the few years I lived there. Now I ride in much colder weather here and need some pretty good gear to keep from freezing my ass off.

I think my toe is starting to heal up some I'm not even limping today so hopefully just a few more days and I'll be back at the gym. It's defenatley looking like some spring weather this week and weekend with temps in the upper 40's and around 50. If this keeps up Rufus and I will be going for long walls again soon. It's going to be too muddy to play much disc golf or mountain bike for a while so we will have to do neighborhood walks for now.

I hope your week has gone well and looks like the weekend is just about here.

Hey Fiddynuts, those girls are looking good. Looks like you got the next run going well. It's always nice to be able to flip quickly after harvest. I am going to flip my next round in the next week or so. I popped some sour grapes last week out of 10 I got 7 above ground. I went with the sour grapes because they finish in 50-60 days.

We are having a birthday party for my baby boy Saturday. Hopefully I will have some stuff dry by then. Getting tired of buying bud. I am going to bag it up and trim it as I have time. This way I don't have to depend on idiots to get it all trimmed.

Hope all the jungle mates are having a good week.

im glad to hear the toe is getting better
if nothing else, white tape the shit out of it
the cold has brought back some old friends of mine, the back injury, the broke foot and the bad knee!
it feels like someone drove a nail through my foot and my knee is acting up again
im trying to adjust to the cold so im not wearing too may layers, a long sleeve over a short sleeve witha hoodie and watch cap
/i can hear you northerners laughing
but hey, its san diego!
at work i am wearing short sleeves and just embracing the cold
now that its been a couple weeks its not that bad
is your heater a gas heater?
ive used gas burners to generate c02 and they actually do wonders
/there are many other ways to augment your environment
yeah i will have to post a pic of one of my screens one of these days
its a B' to keep canopy heights even if you are growing a variety of plants so you end up having to get creative
/one run the mrs called all the twine and twisty ties my little spider web
hope the week is wrapping up nice and you are all set for your weekend, f'nut
lets finish off strong and get on to the fun!
