Is Rosebud related to the Rose Flo?
I was gifted a few Rose Flo a few years back & have yet to pop them. Plan is to pop 'em at the same time as my 2 vintage packs (manilla packs) of Flo.

Rose flo is a pheno found by a member here I believe, and had rose terps. Found in regular dj or old dp stock. Its not related to rosebud, except the fact they are both from the flo line. Rose bud may have a different father as well. Im thinking true blueberry, if I remember right.

Well fairly certain most if not all DJs strains are "related" being selected from same stock from original X. thai X afgani. may have been 2 thai lines but ya most of his strains are all related to that orignal cross.

Oregon Cutthroat

I made this cross called Oregon Cutthroat that reminds me of the Rosebud. The OTC is a cross between Black Rose and Dj's F4 Blueberry stud. The line hermed on me in r&d and was never released on the SGG roster.

Then there was a purple pheno from a single pack of F13 Throwback that was found just last week that also comes close. It's posted on our Instagram feed. I don't think the Rosebud would be too terrible difficult to recreate. I actually think there are a few firms out there now who have come pretty close.

I suggest that the Rosebud may show up in the Vanilluna stock. If one was unsuccessful in that route I'd suggest crossing the Vanilluna with pretty much any other Dj strain and checking the results there. There are other genetic firms that have done just that and created what I feel are close representations of the Rosebud.

The pictures of the Oregon Cutthroat are from plants grown and finished in one gallon pots that went from germination to harvest in under 80 days. The first and last photo are of the same plant, I feel like under optimal conditions that plant comes close to the pics of Rosebud you've shared.

Hi Jd Short thank you for stopping by! those Oregon Cutthroat pictures look fantastic! I agree that the two strains look similar. I was always more intrigued by the reported smells of the Rosebud clone more than the colors of it. Did any of your Oregon Cutthroat plants have a floral rose like smell?

high fambz!

to be honest the cutthroat pheno looks like most purple indica hybrids grown inside (twilight from dutch passion or others meant for outdoor growing, but grown indoors)...
especially when you look at the form and color of the budleaves.

the closest to the rosebud were some flo and blueberry phenotypes from the delta9 collection in the 90s, grown outdoors

blessss
